I was ten when I read the last Kiki Strike book.

I'm fourteen now.

I still want to read it.

If that doesn't say something, I don't know what will. This series remains one of my favorites of all time.

EDIT:
I read the book! It was fantastic. It's really cool how a series that you haven't read in a long time can still grab your attention. Reading this felt like catching up with old friends who have a taste for the dangerous. And it was especially nice to see the Fisbein Guide to Being A Lady back in...more

I first got into the Kiki Strike series when I was about 10-11. Im fourteen now, and so I've waited a great deal for this book! :)
Where to begin! Kirsten Miller wastes no time starting the book. It leaves off from a few months earlier where we meet Oona's Father, he attempts murder on her life, Kasper, the museum, etc. The Third book leaves off at an INCREDIBLE cliff hanger on how Kiki was going to claim the throne to Pokrovia.

So, Kiki is headed off to Pokrovia to find the evidence that Livia k...more

I adore the Kiki Strike series. I still can’t believe it’s not bigger than it is. It is one of my missions in life to make The Irregulars a household name. One can only hope with all the spy and international intrigue “Bourne books” on the rise that people will get another chance to discover The Irregulars.

A good part of the book takes place in Paris, but author Kristen Miller does not abandon her beloved New York completely. NYC is just as much a character in the series as any of the girls, and...more

I absolutely adore the Kiki Strike series. They're complex, intelligent stories featuring a cast of talented and ambitious young women. The books are framed as Ananka Fishbein's records of her adventures with Kiki Strike and the other Irregulars. Ananka has come a long way from the first book, but she's put in charge for the first time when Kiki goes to Paris alone. She struggles to maintain control of the Irregulars in addition to preventing her classmates from becoming etiquette zombies and he...more

The Irregulars are back for a final mission. Kiki Strike is determined to state her claim on Pokrovia, and then ending the monarchy forever, all before her evil aunt and cousin can claim the throne for themselves, and who will stop at nothing to get Kiki out of the way. Meanwhile, the other Irregulars are dealing with another mystery of their own. One which involves proper manners and the catacombs of France.

Well. This was a bit of a disappointment. I loved the other Kiki Strike books. Loved. Th...more

In this third book in the Kiki Strike series, introduced in Inside the Shadow City (Bloomsbury, 2006), the Irregulars are now 15 years old. While Ananka Fishbein does the majority of the narration, Kiki Strike (aka Princess Katarina of Pokrovia) and Betty Bent play major roles. Kiki and Betty are off to Paris. Kiki has been kidnapped by her evil Aunt and cousin. Betty, armed with a special invention designed to secure Kiki’s release, tags along with the headmistress of an exclusive girl’s school...more

I've been waiting for a new Kiki Strike adventure for what seems like forever, & I nearly died of excitement when I learned this third entry had finally been released. It was well worth the wait, & the only disappointment I'll have is if this turns out to be the last one.
The Irregulars, a group of six of the most kick-butt girl-scouts-gone-rogue you'll ever find, are back & ready to put paid to leader Kiki's evil family once & for all. Each girl is going to find herself stretchi...more

Kiki Strike is headed back to Pokrovia to claim her rightful place as Princess. There are a few complications on the way there though and she winds up kidnapped. Now it's up to the Irregulars to help her out. They will need a concoction that can cure female baldness and a way to get it there. Meanwhile it seems like some of the girls are too busy thinking about their love lives to take things as seriously as they should be. The group needs to get their heads right and stick together if they all...more

Anyone who likes Nancy Drew, or who is bored by Nancy Drew, or wishes Nancy Drew's friends George and Bess had a few more kick-butt skills like disguises, computer hacking, jujitsu or chemistry, or that Ned Nickerson was a bit of a graffiti artist with a social agenda, is going to love this series. All three books offer great mysteries solved by girls with serious skills, ties to royalty, crime bosses and the worlds largest private library.

This third book in the series wraps up the story that b...more

Starts off a bit slow and picks up speed. I ended out liking the character development and the occasional sage advice. The book is interspersed with Ananka's principles of etiquette (when you read it, it will make sense)which are surprisingly apropos.
There's a bit of romance, and of course more royal intrigue as Kiki's devil aunt continues to pursue the throne for her daughter- what a pair! Lili and Oona sustain their rivalry as only they can. Multiple family mysteries wrap up in a tour of the...more

From the preface: "There are plenty of impatient people in this world who will pick up a book and thumb past its preface. You should be proud you're not one of them. The point of a preface is to prepare you for the story you're about to read. And when it comes to the dark and dangerous tale that's written on these pages, you'll need all the preparation you can get."

I'll admit, I'm generally one of those people who skip the preface. But not this time. I was so, so, so, so excited for the release...more

Kiki Strike and her Irregulars are back fighting crime and creating trouble as usual. This is a great series for smart and tough girls who like reading about intelligent action. I enjoyed this third book in the series, because it focuses on Betty Bent. Betty, the mistress of disguise, is also the nicest of the group and therefore considered the weak link at times. However, Betty proves that nice can still be tough and still win the day. This is a fun and age appropriate spy series for tweens and...more

The Darkness Dwellers was another great installment in the Kiki Strike Series. In this volume Betty Bent and Ananka take more of a lead role. Betty follows Kiki , who is tracking her evil relatives, to Paris. While Kiki and Betty are in Paris Ananka takes on more of a lead role within the Irregulars group. There are a number of sub plots in this book with one of the more major one being a finishing school recruiting one of Atalants's more unruly students. The book was well written and still an i...more

MY THOUGHTS
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

Kiki is off to Pokrovia to track down her aunt for the crime of murdering her parents and finally put her in jail but in Kiki's world, nothing is ever easy. With the Irregulars backing her up, she takes off and ends up in Paris, where she is kidnapped. So there are about six,m or it seems, subplots going on while Kiki is stuck in Paris trying to get the proof to pin her parents' murder on her aunt and you can only hope that she succeeds. This is also where Kiki hook...more

I love you, Kiki Strike series. You have always shown me girl-power and independence and how to be a lady, from my preteen years up to my teen years now. I'm the same age as Ananka, and I feel like we've grown up together. Although we've had our occasional disagreements, I'd like to think that Ananka and I get along very well. I can relate to her and at the same time give her much-needed advice. And in this book the advice I needed to give was STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM KASPAR YOU'RE SMARTER THAN T...more

Kiki Strike and friends are at it again. This time they need a cure for baldness, a way to close a zombie inducing etiquette school (the brainless type of zombies, not the brain eating kind), and of course stop a pair of murderous and power hungry royals. New friendships are made, old ones are tested, and another underground city is explored. And don't forget the tips for how to spy like the Irregulars!

The third and final book in the Kiki Strike series - fantastic! I had been waiting for the finale to the trilogy for years and had pretty much given up when I saw this on the "new" shelf at my local bookstore. Half in NY and half in Paris - how could I not love the story? Betty finally gets some real novel action, and I've had several interesting conversations about the catacombs since reading it.

This seriesis a l8r of fun. Awesome, independent young ladies. Spy work and new York city in am entirely new light. I, liked the first book better, but this one was great in it's messages and excitement.I adore the Fishbein guide, especially the part about clothing. In fact the whole book feels like a guide on how to kick butt as a lady of the world and I'm totally into that!

Loved the previous Kiki Strike books, but somehow I didn`t quite enjoy this one as much as the first. There is lots of action and cool and interesting knowledge. Maybe I expected to much. Afterall, it has gone three years since I found the first book. But if you have a open mind, get ready for the always adventurous Kiki Strike and her friends.

LOVE, LOVE the Kiki Strike Series! So glad that a 3rd book is coming out! I loved reading about super intelligent girls that not only have their wits about them, but are active, inquisitive, and get physical in their daily lives while stopping the bad guys in their tracks. Bring on the 3rd installment!

I just finished this book, and I loved it! I read the first two around five years ago, when I was twelve, and when I realize that there had come a new book I couldn't resist it. Even though I might be a bit too old for this book, I still consider it to be just perfect, and really hope Kirsten Miller are going to write more kiki strike-books!

I have been waiting for Kiki #3 to come out, and I am so glad that it did. Kiki Strike is AMAZING. I think I liked the first book better, then the second, and then this comes in 3rd place with 4 stars.

I feel like Ananka's usual..attitude wasn't captured, since she gets this out-of-the-blue crush on Kaspar. I just thought it was a little bit akward.

I absolutely loved the catacombs and Darkness Dwellers. While the others are helping Kiki, Betty is with Amelia, and finfing a cure for baldness, Anan...more

Fun ending to a fabulous series. Writing seems simpler now that it's been quite a few years, but I enjoyed the adventure with the Irregulars, as well as the mysteries and the drama. The ending was perfectly happily-ever-after, and the lessons were well learned.

Seriously fun and smart all-girl mystery. I had heard Kiki Strike was good series, and I'm glad I finally tried it out. Recommended for Ally Carter fans or girls who love The Mystery of the Third Lucretia.

Another great addition to the Kiki Strike series! Hopefully not the last, though some loose ends are indeed tied up. Will definitely pick up another one if/when it comes out.

where. is. this. book. I. am. dying.

as many others have said, I think most people would consider me "too old" for these books but I don't care. I WANT TO READ IT.

Still enjoyed it very much! The plotting is as adventuresome and surprising as the previous two installments and the tone is as sassy. It's also delightful to read Ananka's TIPS for girls that encourage courage and kindness throughout the story.
