Tony Robbins is one of those guys who made it big with little education. He's no scholar, has no college degree, and learned his methods (NLP from which his motivational technique "neuroassociative conditioning" came) as a self-taught mentee. He is one of those guys who rose to the top because of character, failure / success (which is a great motivator in itself), enthusiasm, and, of course, power. His power resides in his belief, his faith that NC is valid and works. To a great degree, it does....more

An oldie but goodie. This is a good starter book for people seeking to improve themselves and their life situation. Anthony Robbins is a wonderful motivator and the undisputed master of personal achievement. He will pump you up and get you going on YOUR path! If you want something more complicated, study "Neuro-linguistic Programming". Robbin's uses NLP as the foundation for his own success.

I have read all of Anthony Robbins' books and this book was foundational in getting me motivated to write...more

This book is excellent... The first 400 pages are tips and concepts he covers in more detail in his seminars. But the last 20 pages of this book are so heartfelt and so moving... goodness... you have to read the book.

I can't say enough good things about a man I barely know. My father is the greatest man that ever lived to me and everyday, I strive to become someone like him. The only other person that has made a material difference on the way I live my life is Tony Robbins. If you want answers....more

This is an unpretentious guide into the power of the mind and how anyone can tap into this power to overcome challenges and achieve success. The insights extrapolated here are aimed at elevating your quality of life in all areas including finances, health, career, leadership and relationship.

Admittedly, the book is quite long for a self-help guide but it offers some exciting and inspirational strategies for success in an increasingly competitive and seemingly overwhelming world. I find that it p...more

What els is there to say about Tony Robbins....

This book is good for NOT for everyone. The concepts of NLP aren't easily received for people new to self-help books. Tony does a good job of breaking things down, but there is a lot of information to go over. Hence the reason the book is so loonngggg.

Unlimited power will do exactly what it says, give you the power to make the changes you want in life using NLP. If you're new to self-help books, you may want to start with something different like N...more

Disappointingly short but an amazing listen.

This audiobook highlights many of Anthony Robbins points from his book Unlimited Power. Very few speakers can beat Tony's enthusiasm and larger than life charisma.

Highly recommend it - downloaded from itunes for $10 and have it installed on my ipod for listening again and again! Well worth $10!

Thank you Tony for how much you have helped to inspire several generations of readers and listeners to think outside the box and not to simply not accept medioc...more

A great reference book for those wanting to understand the power of the mind. There are a lot of NLP books out there, but Tony writes in a very motivational and uplifiting way. I still use this as a reference book in everyday life to go back and revisit some of the techniques. One of the top books in the field of personal achievement.

This book is like my 'bible'. It shows that nothing can limit what we can do with the power. One of the most inspirational books ever written.

This is my first purchase by Tony Robbins. I have previously watched a bunch of his on-line videos, and was impressed and interested, and wanted more. This is the abridged audio version, a mix of studio and live recordings.

When I started listening to it, I was intrigued and was easily pulled in, but was left wanting much more when it was done. (Looking at the size of the book afterward, it looks to be briefly hitting highlights, as one hour cannot come close to covering all of the content of th...more

As a leader of self-actualization seminars, Robbins trumpets the power of reframing your thoughts to recreate your reality. "Achievers tend to believe that no matter what happens, whether it's good or bad, they created it," he says. "No scientist can prove that our thoughts create our reality. But it's a useful lie. It's an empowering belief. That's why I choose to believe in it." (p. 75) He is clear that new thoughts need to be followed up with action. "If all we needed were ideas and positive...more

Now. i am no professional book reviewer, but i believe this is by far one of the books that should definitely be read by anyone who wishes to improve quality of his life. Unlimited Power shows you ways which you can do so, primarily through his tactics of NLP. It may seem like a very foreign concept, but even for an A Level graduate with average results like me, the tactics mentioned are simple and easy to digest. What's more: they work. Not just limited to motivating one self, Unlimited Power t...more

If I have to describe it in few words : "This is a book which every single sentence brings new valuable information to the reader".

the exrecises it contains are numerous, sometimes feel real silly, I've tried some of them at first, carefully, but in vain, may be the author should have augmented their required proposed frequency.

also the book is almost based on the 3 perceptional modes of human beings( visual, audio and feelings) but it is sad to note that there was no efficient exercise or metho...more

Forget all of this talk of "technologies." That part of the book is important but the way the information is framed isn't .

What you need to know about this book is that despite what you might think of Tony Robbins, he offers practical advise for living a better life by applying your mind to getting the things you want.

In any number of articles, books, or seminars, you may have heard about visualization, talking to yourself, controlling your thoughts, or what have you, but Tony Robbins actually...more

I read this book back in 1987 and it had a profound impact on my life. I have a signed copy as I had the opportunity to meet Tony Robbins when he came to Cleveland for a seminar. Me and 335 others did a firewalk with Tony and because he was not attracting the audiences he is these days, I got to spend quite a bit of time chatting with him. He shares the science of NLP and for anyone interested in that subject, this is a must read.

This book is one of the books on the recommended reading list of m...more

An amazing book and a must for anyone who wants to learn NLP. I found the book filled with lots of details and doesn't get to the point directly, but this is not a bad thing, at least for me, because there are many inspiring stories that motivated me.

If you are some on who have no knowledge about NLP and you want to learn it then this book is a good choice. Also, like any other self development books, nothing will change without taking actions :-) After all, like what Jim Rohn said, you can't hi...more

This is actually a fascinating book of practical NLP masquerading as self-help dreck. Unfortunately, the entire chapter on health and body is such horseshit that I don't even want to dignify it with the term "pseudoscience" - which then makes me question a lot of the "totally true, bro!" anecdotes that are alarmingly unsupported by citations. That aside, a neat book and an intro to some fun brain gymnastics for personal improvement.

Unlimited Power is very helpful in identifying the personal action processes neccessary to live out one's fullest potential.

Each person has very specific purposes and gifts that they were given as part of the life experience. Though these purposes and gifts exist, is very neccessary to choose to maximize one's possibilities. Robbin's book helps people to develop the abilities to improve their lives.

Great read.

Reminded of this book recently. Its a very inspirational book though perhaps not completely new information. I would strongly recommend you give this book your complete your attention to get the best out of it, especially the beliefs chapter four, I didn't do this the first time I read this but when I read it more recently I did it and found it a much more whole brain experience.

You have to learn the skills to an unlimited power energy is one of the secretes but its not alone
For example skills are really important and the best skill is knowing specifically what you want !!!!
But how could we get the unlimited power
You should read or listen to Anthony Robbins to know...
Anything from this guy is recommended....

It is hard to argue with perennial worldwide success!

There is no doubt that Anthony Robbins is the standard-bearer for the psychology of achievement and success. I was exposed to him for the first time back in the late 80s from a Rolling Stone article. I believe there was a Michael Jackson or Prince feature and I ended up reading this about some wunderkind of 19 years of age.

At that time, he was famous for the fire walks that people would take at the end of each session. While a metaphor for the...more

Read early in my career. Amazing what a smart guy can do. I'm not too enamored with Anthony Robbins lately, but his books helped me way back when I needed some help getting focused on what I really wanted out of my life, especially with all the hours a man normally puts into his career.
Blair
I have read the book, and also listened to the audio series 3 times... and must for someone wanting to move past where they are and not just looking to learn, but use the information to make a change in their situation... even if it is already good.

Worth your time to read this book!

To me, this felt like a very long read (a handful of times, a bit dry) but if you love personal development, you'll enjoy all of the examples, the success stories and the ways that you can challenge yourself to break out of your shell to become the best that you can be.
