I first got this book because I found the back blurb interesting. It was only when I picked it up a few days ago that I discovered that this a sequel to another book with the same hero/heroine. I have no idea how the author managed to end that book in a way that could be considered a romance since when this one starts they have been apart for years and the hero thinks the heroine married someone else.

I read Devotion years ago which is the second book in this series. I never realized that there was a sequel to that book. I am glad I read this if only to finish off the story that ended so abruptly in Devotion but this was really hard to finish. I never like reading in the first person, it is so distracting to me. Also, I thought the end of their story deserved more but I can't quite put my finger on it. I would say if you have read Devotion, you should give Obsession a quick read just to satis...more
