This book left me with my mouth hung wide open. I truly didn't see that outcome playing out like it did. Stay tuned for my full-length review.

Up To No Good

Delilah S. Baker believes that Reverend Samson Judges is perfect in every way, shape and form. Too bad he's already spoken for. While that might mean something to another woman, to Delilah, it's a mere bump in the road. After all, she has everything he needs, doesn't she?

Samson has tried to deny his attraction to Delilah, but the truth is he can't. The closer he and Julia Rivers, his chosen one, get to that altar, the more he finds himself longing for Delilah. Will Samson be able to

The author shares a modern-day story of Samson and Delilah, which is one of my favorite stories in the Bible that tells us about lusting with our eyes and in our hearts and falling for the deceptions in which leads to our destruction. Samson, a pastor, is lured into Delilah's temptations of the flesh although he practiced celibacy beforehand. He allowed this to take place regardless of his engagement to Julia and hard to shake Delilah off even after marriage. It can be difficult to break off spi ...more

DELILAH by author Shelia M. Goss is a thriller. It has action from the first page to the last one. As secrets are revealed, this book spirals like a tornado. DELILAH is definitely a page turner. This book is filled with a combination of emotions....love, hate, jealousy, deceit, guilt, revenge and betrayal. I could barely wait to read what was going to happen next.

Delilah is a businesswoman employed by Trust Enterprises, who has been assigned and highly paid to work a special assignment. Her init

What did it for me with this book was the characters. I thought they were fascinating and I enjoyed them so much that I didn't care what the plot was after a while. Sheila does an excellent job creating three dimensional characters that cannot be pigeonholed and that I must say are extremely realistic.

From the first page we get the kind of woman Delilah is. She's selfish, egotistical, scandalous and all in between. It was very hard for me to feel sympathy for Delilah but Sheila does a fantastic

“Delilah, Delilah, Delilah” is all I can say after reading this book by Sheila M. Goss. The author has outdone herself with this tale of persistent church members and a ‘holier than thou’ pastor. We all know that not everyone is perfect and this is true with the characters of this new installment by a talented author.

Delilah is a true businessperson who will do whatever it takes to keep her secrets hidden. She is employed by Trust Enterprises, a real estate company that wants the land her churc

I always expect Christian fiction to be preachy and overbearing. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Shelia Goss’ latest novel Delilah manages to be neither. Instead, this book combines an urban fiction style with Christian overtones. Not surprisingly, the primary characters Samson and Delilah are references to the well-known biblical tale. Delilah Baker is determined to win the heart and soul of Pastor Samson Judges, a man she first came to know with underhanded intentions. There i ...more

This author has told a story that’s happen more and more everyday in the churches. What makes the story a page turner was not been preachy. Shelia is very creative when it comes to story telling until the very end.

Delilah is put in Samson life for several reasons and as the storyline goes on all is revealed. Samson is not mentally strong to handle Delilah that appeared to him and others as a physical aspect of humanity of that saved Christian women.

When Delilah regains her life back and put th

This contemporary retelling of the story of Samson and Delilah is true to form in that it begins with temptation and ends in tragedy. The characters, named for their Biblical counterparts, play their roles exactly as expected, with Delilah tempting Samson even as she knows it may bring about his demise, and Samson being unable to withstand Delilah's wiles.

Although based on a Biblical-story, this is not your average Christian fiction. It is much more sensual and the characters actively are invol

Shelia Goss has crafted a tale that takes the reader hostage from the very first page. You are pulled into the life of the sexy, manipulative, and downright scandalous life of Delilah as she sets her sights on Reverend Samson Judges, an unfortunately willing participant of her seductive scheme.

This book has everything a reader could want. It's sexy, inspirational, intriguing, provocative, and drama filled. It takes you on a ride that you will never forget with an ending that will leave your pal

Reverend Samson Judges, the Pastor of Peaceful Rest Missionary Baptist Church, would have saved himself a lot of heartache if he would have taken heed to the scripture, "Resist the devil and He shall flee from you." The devil, being in the form of a sexy, money driven vixen and love sick Delilah S. Baker. Delilah, is a woman who has been sent by her shady boss businessman William Trusts to get the goods on the Reverend so he can acquire a piece of valued church land for his own personal gain. IN THE NAME OF LOVE

At least that's what Delilah Baker would've said in her defense. With her stunning beauty and live-life-right ways, she found love in the form of Pastor Samson Judges.

As the head of Peaceful Rest, Samson was viewed a wondrous man of the cloth and had the looks to confirm it. His fiancee, Julia, made sure of that and then some.

Delilah was a member of the Pastor's Aide Committee and enjoyed her position there. Little did she know that her past would come creeping back into the f

It was okay.I guess it wasn't my cup of tea. Sampson was a jerk and Delilah was a fool. I think Samson gave in too easily. I don't like how clergy men are depicted in stories, the ones at my church practice what they preach. I didn't understand the ending, it made me wonder whether or not there would be a part two; so many questions were left unanswered. I did like the part about Facebook, that was too funny, and I was embarrassed for the characters involved.

Just an OK read...not what I expected...most of the characters got on my LAST nerves...and none of the main characters had any redeemable qualities IMHO...they all at one point or another seem to fall short of "TRUE" Christian behavior...guess I just HOPED for some redemption in the end...but they were all still pointing fingers and no one really wanted to take responsibility for their action.

Read half of book and skimmed the rest. The story was very predictable. Samson was a weak and stupid. Julia was naive and stupid. Delilah was crazy. It was an ok read.

I really enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to anyone that love Christian fiction. It was truly a page-turner, soul-searching, and thought provoking.

I loved that the book followed Samson and Delilah in the bible. The characters were believable and I loved Samson's parents interaction. It was a good read
