Ethan and Dallin once again enter the magical travel trunk, this time finding themselves in ancient Atlantis. I found this book as captivating as the first, Pirate Treasure. The boys are quick thinkers, which is probably the only thing that saves their lives in this book. In comparison with the first book, this one has more adventure and fewer laughs. The humor in this book tends to stretch a bit farther. Instead of just one-liners, we have humorous situations so the laughter lasts a bit longer....more
Once again, completely smitten with this book! If you'll remember, I recently reviewed the first book in the series and loved that one as well. Without a doubt, the best part about these books is the imagination that shines off the pages. When I was younger, my favorite thing to do was pretend. Ethan and Dallin allow the reader to do that and present them the opportunity to learn new facts at the same time. Amazing!

Pretty disappointing after the first book (in my opinion). This one was just a little too weird (with mythical beasts and characters that talked like surfers, etc.), but the kids still kinda liked it.
The Lost City of Atlantis is book two in the Traveling Trunk Adventure series by Benjamin Flinders. Last month I reviewed book one in the series, Pirate Treasure and finally took the time to sit down and read book two.
