”Rådhusklatreren” er historien om William Lundstrøm, og det er historien om Williams familie. William selv blev født i 1970 og voksede op på Vesterbro i København.

Jeg blev grebet af forfatterens fortællestil. For selv om kronologien i historien er en by i Rusland, så flyder fortællingen stille og roligt frem. Vi lærer hele familien at kende, fra hans oldemor, der dør af den spanske syge, til William der går en grum skæbne i møde.

Det er mit gæt, at Kim Blæsbjerg har skelet til Jens Smærup Sørense
