I adore the Boxcar Children. They continue to show how teamwork and a strong work ethic can make a difference and often save the day. Clearly these books have been ghost written for ages, as the beloved Gertrude Warner passed away years ago. For the most part, the newer books stay true to her style. This one fell flat. The mystery was predictable, even for my 5-year old, from page one. The clues were so blatant they hit you in the head. Their were major holes and errors in the writing that were ...more

I loved the original book as a child. However, this one proved to me that some memories should be left untouched. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good either. Of course, I'm also not the intended audience, so I may be a bit harsh.
