Page Fright by Harry Bruce is a non-fictional exploration of the quirks and foibles of writers throughout the ages, how they write, why they write and the multitude of habits and superstitions that they rely on in order to be able to write at all.
Bruce begins his work at the very beginning of the written word with chalk drawings on cave walls and then seamlessly works his way through the evolution of writing from iron stylus to quill, fountain pen to typewriter, Dictaphone and computer.
