The description for Cowboy Comes Home doesn't do justice to the actual story. I was expecting a ho-hum story. Instead, the story doesn't follow the "normal" pattern. Meg is the damaged person while Rio is the steady and confident person. Usually, it's the other way around. This was a delightful surprise and I really liked the story. I also liked Meg and Rio. I was sad to see the story end as I wanted to read more about them, Virginia, and the town.

Soon she was designing elaborate paper-doll wardrobes and writing stories about Teddy the Bear. Eventually she graduated to short horror stories and oil paints. She was working as an artist and a part-time librarian when she ...more
