Erin McCarthy (Goodreads Author)
Not all marriages last forever!
Suzanne Jefferson is broke, which is why she’s given up charity work for wedding planning. Fortunately, she has a high-profile client, and best of all, he’s paid in advance. There are just two teensy problems: The bride is a bona fide bridezilla, and Suzanne’s ex-husband is the best man. At least she thought he was her ex-husband!

Erin McCarthy’s amazing Fast Track series is considered contemporary romance, but I think it’s a little hotter than most, and that’s just fine with me ;) Flat-Out Sexy (#1) gave us the story of stock car race driver Elec Monroe, one of the sweetest, hottest beta heros you’ll ever meet. Hard and Fast (#2) was hilarious and the opening love scene was one of the most well-written, ever!, with Ty and his little “reversals”<--sweet torture.

I was eagerly anticipating reading this book since the first in the series. I am a big fan of sarcastic humour so Suzanne is definitely a girl i would want on my team and loved every minute of reading this book.
Every chapter was filled with witty humour that had my giggling in my head as well as laughing out loud.
I don't want to drag on, so stating it simply.....THIS IS A MUST READ SERIES.

Fast Track is one of my favorite contemporary romance series and not just because of the smokin’ hot, studtastic cover hunks...really, I swear! By far not my favorite of the series. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. I liked it enough, but was expecting a better story.
Series Note:
Third book in McCarthy's "Fast Track" series. I'd recommend reading them in order.
Summary:
Ryder and Suzanne Jefferson have been divorced for two years, but neither has gotten over the other. Suzanne still thinks about Ryder and seems to bump into him all the time and Ryder still doesn't really understand what went wrong in his marriage. He still cares...more

Not my favorite of the series (hard to top Elec and Tamara from Flat-Out Sexy or even Imogen and Ty from Hard and Fast), and at times I had issues with the sometimes bitchy, often snarky Suzanne Jefferson and the way she treated her sometimes clueless ex-husband Ryder, but all-in-all a pretty entertaining (if unspectacular) read.

After reading about Ryder and Suzanne in the last two books, I was looking forward to reading their story. Suzanne has been entertaining with her snark and wit so I was looking forward to the brave front she was going to portray in her happily-ever-after. Ryder has always been the nice guy but he does have a sexy streak in playing the field at times. Put these two together and I was looking for some fun and smexy action! Unfortunately, their book was not as entertaining and as romantic as the fi...more

In all honestly, I am always late when it comes to great authors and great books. This is my first time reading a Erin McCarthy book and boy have I been missing out. This is my first time reading this author's book. I have been on the hunt for contemporary series lately to keep me busy during my summer vacation, I picked up this book base on the high rating and the whole "second chance" concept.
I have never been more annoyed by a book. I cannot believe this is a story involving a couple who's in their 30's, they acted/spoke like they're teenagers. The silly lack of communication and annoying (repetitive) banters covered up 80% of the storyline. I felt zero...more

I'd been waiting for Suzanne and Ryder's story since their appearance in Flat-Out Sexy. I found them interesting. Chemistry surrounded them and I did hope the two of them would get to be together again. Well, in this book, they did! Only it wasn't that easy and yeah, their story pretty much gotten me headache.

"When you loved someone, you loved them forever, no matter what, and he was going to do whatever he had to in the hope of convincing Suzanne they belonged together."
Sometimes, all it needs is a second chance to make everything right.
GOD. I seriously loved this to bits. I won't even try to elaborate. The plot is not that unique, but man. Erin McCarthy totally pulled it off!

Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy - I adore McCarthy's Fast Track series. Both of the previous books have had interesting heroes and heroines and it has to be said, McCarthy writes some smokin' hawt sexy times. This book featured Suzanne and Ryder Jefferson, a divorced couple who we've gotten to know through the last two books. We never really understood the reasons behind why they split up, just that they did, but were still very much in each other's lives and definitely still had a mutual attraction...more
Third in the Fast Track romantic racing series revolving around a group of stock car drivers.
My Take
It's greatest value is in its resolution of Suzanne and Ryder's relationship with which McCarthy has been teasing us for the past two stories. It's a satisfying resolution but no great tensions or dramas despite McCarthy's trying to create them.
Suzanne discovers that she really doesn't like the person she's turning into. Manipulating clients to do/choose the more expensive option just so she can...more

Suzanne Jefferson is a struggling wedding planner trying to catch a break, Ryder Jefferson is an up and coming stock car driver who is still in love with his ex wife, actually he is still in love with his wife. It turns out that the divorce papers that Suzanne and Ryder signed and dated never reached the court, so when they meet two years later they flabbergasted and secretly thrilled because it turns out that they still have that spark between them and it can no longer be resisted.

No love lost here.
Probably my least favorite of the series (so far). Suzanne and Ryder have been a part of books since the beginning. We know they were married at one point but are now divorced. We also know that they have a rather explosive relationship. Ryder pushes her buttons and has a rather laid back attitude, and Suzanne is always flying off the handle with snarky comments and a rather bitchy attitude. There seem to be lingering feelings on both sides, but they stubbornly refuse to acknow...more
Ok, this book was seriously disappointing. Even though I started off at the 3rd book, it doesn’t make a difference, I thought that maybe the series would be more inventive. First of all the racing is just to show how much money this dude got and novelty, you would expect more right? Secoundly you would thing that there would be drama that made sense in the relationships except it just showed how they broke out and didn’t know why. Thirdly the characters were total idiots. Forth, if I have to see...more
I'm giving Hot Finish 3 stars. It would probably have been less, but I don't want to torpedo the book's rating. The main reason I feel this way is the book's very first sex scene. I didn't like it. I would go so far as saying it affected my opinion of the characters. It's not that I thought they weren't a good match, but I didn't want to hang out with them. I didn't have a problem with Suz or Ryder in the first two books, but their interactions here rubbed me entirely the wrong way.

2/3s of the way into the book, the hero and his buddies suddenly become women in hairy suits when the guys (all in the testosterone heavy profession of race car driging) start asking the hero how his relationship with his woman was going. Then they tell him he should TALK to her about the RELATIONSHIP. I mean, come on. How girlie is this? Do you know any guy who would do this with his buds? I don’t. Not one. (Okay, maybe my gay guy friends. Maybe.) But a hetro male? They’d rather be boiled in oi...more

Good 3rd book in the series. Ryder, successful Nascar driver and Suzanne, a wedding planer, have been separated for 2 years and find that a misunderstanding regarding a court appearance has caused a delay in making their divorce official. They still run in the same social circle and see each other often enough to know that things were never really finished between them. Ryder knows that he doesn't want to let her go. I like this series, but I'll admit, I don't love it. I change explain what it is, but some thing feels like it's repeating in each of the books. I think I may hold off for a while before I read the 4th book, but I do feel this series is still worth the time if it sounds interesting to you.

Books 1 & 2 of Erin McCarthy's 'Fast Track' series introduced me to a world that I quickly came to enjoy. All through those books you are given glimpses of Suzanne & Ryder Jefferson. Divorced, they just can't seem to get away from each other because of the way their circle of friends keep pulling them back in. Throughout the other books you are given the sense that maybe things aren't over with the two of them and there is more to their 'story.' We get that - finally- in this book!

...After the buildup of Suzanne and Ryder in the first two books, this book was anticlimactic. I was anticipating Hot Finish as a reunion story. In actuality, it was a story about a couple that never really split up. Oh they thought they did. They went through the legal motions (or so they thought), they stopped living and sleeping together, they even stopped acting like a couple. But they still saw each other regularly. They still compared their current lovers to each other. It wasn’t my idea o...more
Who knew Suzanne would be like this?? I never imagined it, given the short moments we see her in Flat-Out Sexy and Hard and Fast. But I love her. She's sassy, spunky, fun, smart, and guarding her heart like nobody's business, especially once she discovers her ex-husband of two years isn't so much of an ex-. Here's just a few of Suzanne's gems:

– After reading the two previous titles, Flat-Out Sexy and Hard and Fast, I couldn’t wait for Suzanne’s book. She’s saucy, proud, intelligent and so hopelessly in love with her ex-husband that she doesn’t know what to do with herself. This characters is what I call a girl’s best friend because she’s the kind of personality that you want to hang out with when you’ve had a breakup or some other kind of trauma in your life. I really liked the previous books in this series as well as other books by this author, such as the Vegas Vampires series, The Pregnancy Test, Mouth to Mouth, and You Don't Know Jack. Erin McCarthy usually does a great job creating a laugh out loud funny romance that's both sweet and sexy. But this newest installment fell a bit short. It's not bad--it's just that her other books were really very good so my expectations were high.

Book three of the Fast Track racing-themed contemporary romance series from Erin McCarthy. This is Suzanne and Ryder's story - finally! Their relationship has been teased in the first two books, with few details. All we know is that they were married, are now divorced, bicker constantly, and seem to still have a fiery connection. Suzanne has been my least favorite of the female leads, she is too loud and brash for me. However, she is a loyal friend and a good person, and as we come to see, maybe...more
