Grimm-s Circle, Book 2.5

The events of this free short story take place between the events of No Prince Charming and Ren’s story, Crazed Hearts.
.
It turns out both Ren and Elle had some loose ends they needed to tie up…and that’s what this story is about. It’s not Ren’s happy ever after. That’s in Crazed Hearts.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish

After reading this short story I had decided to give it only two stars because it seemed so disjointed and had me really confused. Then, after checking on Goodreads, I discovered that this is actually book 2.5 in the Grimm’s Circle series, and I suddenly understood why I felt so lost. See, I wasn’t sure what the point to all the angst was, though it seemed that there was supposed to be a very important one, but because I had no idea what had happened in previous books, the whole thing just seeme

Ren is still hurting from losing his best friend and century-long occasional lover, Elle, after she and the man she loved, Michael, reunited. That pain is adding stress to the pressure of the darkness that is never far from his mind lately. Leave it to their boss (for lack of a better term) Will to send him back to Elle and Michael to wait for another task that the three Grimm must handle.

Seeing Elle is like salt in a grievous wound, and even her kindness causes pain. As an empath

I Thought It Was You by Shiloh Walker

Friendship, separation, and obedience takes on a sensual spin in the short story I Thought It Was You by Shiloh Walker. It is a fairy tale for adults of three hearts that must follow the directive from the “chief” and no longer can be friends with benefits. Who knew guardian angels did these naughty things?

Ren and Elle previous involvements complicate manners as Elle must be with Michael. Ren jealousy a very human quality rears its ugly head and finds it har

Warning! Spoilers and erotic scenes!

If you like this series mainly for the storyline and characters, you don’t need to read this. This is an unneeded transition between books 2 & 3. At the end of book 2, Michael got the girl and Ren left to go get his own HEA in book 3. This story is barely a scene. Everything ‘important’ in it is or could have been included in the full books. The only reason I can see for this is so the author can write an erotic scene.

The premise for this doesn’t even

I downloaded this in the mistaken belief that it was a retelling of a traditional fairytale, like those Mercedes Lackey writes. I was assisted to this belief by the words "Grimms Circle" associated with it.

I was surprised and disgusted to find that instead what I had downloaded was pornography, and quite sick, disgusting pornography at that. I do not understand why this kind of filth doesn't carry a warning, or why the writer should want to pass it off as a fairy tale. I'll be sure to avoid this

This book was free at Barnes and Noble.

It's a quick read, featuring characters that are apparently prominent in other books of the series. While it doesn't have much depth - it's mostly just a menage scene - it did whet my appetite for more of the series. This is just a segway between storylines, I think. It was good for what it was, but don't expect much from it since it only clocks in around 30-something pages.

The book preview said it's not Ren's ever after but you have to read another book for that this book is just for the lose ends. As short as it is I didn't get into it I was not impressed . This book was not for me it felt like a left over of something, some books does not stand alone because without reading the series some readers would be lost. I need to read a real good book quick because I feel like I'm in a funk.

There's not much I can say about I Thought It Was You without giving away the entire story. I mean, it's a really short novella and all about character development for Ren. There's a little about Elle, but it's really Ren that we're given tiny hints as to who he is. And I really want to know who Ren is, so I'm off to read Crazed Hearts.

A short story about a guardian angel who's hung up on a former lover. The story is set between two full length novels, and if you haven't read either of those stories, then all the turmoil and unrequited love of this story just doesnt' make sense. Plus, without any real backstory, not having read this series before, I got the distinct impression that Elle (here, Cinderella) was a little of a hussy and self-absorbed.

This review will be short and sweet. I was trolling through my Kindle Archives and came across this title and said "Hmmm what's this?" For an answer - it's a hot little novella that did what I think it was supposed to do -- make me want to read the full books!

If you're looking for a quick and spicy read - grab this up! You won't be disappointed!

I like the Grimm series. This was a sad one. It hurt to read. :/ This is definitely not a happily ever after. I find Ms. Walker's reinterpretation of the fairy tales to be even more grim than the original Grimm fairy tales.

Poor Ren. Read this book only if you read the others in this series. This is not to be read by itself.

If you have not read the book before this one it does not really make sense. I have not read it so I did not really understand the reasoning behind the characters actions. It also did not make me want to read any of the other books in the story to help me understand this one.

I found this for free at the Kindle store along with a few others in the series. It wasn't really to my taste, little too much angst and being a short, not enough real plot. I almost stopped reading mid way through but it is such a short story, I couldn't let myself.
Anna (Bobs Her Hair)
This novella is not even a half book. Basically, it a menage scene involving the main character, Ren, who seems to be in some emotional crisis. The sexual healing does not provide his HEA. Crazed Hearts (Grimm's Circle, 3) is his complete story.

It was interesting enough that I would like to read the first book of this series. I probably should have done that first since I was pretty much lost a good portion of this story. But the story was good, the characters interesting and real enough and the setting seemed to draw me in.

I'm not a fan of short stories or in betweens because I always feel like there should be more. Not bad. Good characters, though I wasn't terribly fond of one, and a set up to read the former and the latter novels. Fairy tale based rewrite with angels--a veritable smorgasbord.

I was prepared to dismiss this little story, but found the characters interesting and perhaps worth pursuing. Elle has had a history with two men. Michael, her first and last and Ren, with whom she was with for a long time. Did I mention they are all angels? And this is their story.

Maybe if I had read some of the others in the series I would of understood this short story better. But this story is just weird. This was a free book in the Kindle Store.

This was an excellent bridge between Shiloh Walker's two books in the Grimm's Circle series No Prince Charming and Crazed Hearts.

Bittersweet and good! This one only took about an hour or so to read and it was nice to see Ren and Elle get the closure they needed.
