JSA All-Stars was a spin off of the Justice Society of America book before the New 52 relaunch. It was basically the younger members, those who were bumping up against the older generation with their attitudes and views on fighting crime. It generally works, and I found the story was riveting. A nice beginning to the first volume in the spin-off from the Justice Society of America. The good includes picking fantasy author Matthew Sturges as writer. The bad is Freddie Williams so 1990s art style. Sturges does a good job on the character interaction and goes for the summer blockbuster action movie feel. Points also for introducing a new character in Anna Fortune who might become the series breakout character along with Maxine.

Generally, a good volume of JSA with nice attention to modern JSA continuity and good characterization for the more prominent characters in the book.

New graphic novel highlighting the younger members of the JSA. Not as good as some of the other books in this series but definitely wonderful stories and great art.
