Written immediately following the Vietnam war, details the strategy and how armored forces a contributed to it. What is truly interesting is how the overall strategy mimicked our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to this account, the insurgency in South Vietnam was crushed by the combined weight of the South, the US and its allies. After the South optimized for that war, the North launched a successful conventional attack that caught the South's forces optimized for a different fight. M ...more
