Known as a Victoria's Secret Angel and international model, Miranda Kerr teamed up with Louise Hay (of Hay House Radio, Books, etc.) to create her own book of affirmations and how they ha...more
My expectations for this book weren't too high, but after all of the positive reviews I got curious about it - but I was disappointed. Kerr's message can be summed up in one sentence: B...more
But I found it's not a biography completely. It does share some of her life and she does open up a lot, which I love, but she mixes the experiences from her life and makes them into rela...more
For one thing, Miranda Kerr is not a good writer. It's obvious that she is trying, and t...more
While I haven't read many self-help books, I feel like she says what everyone else says, but she does not present it in a new and int...more
This autobiography is like art to me. A beautiful piece of art. When I think of Miranda's personality, I think of characteristics like: gentle, kind, caring, giving, down to earth and genuine. Those human charac...more
I don't think the tone of her book suits her experiences. She writes as if she's overcome the harshest of adversity, but has lived a completely charmed life, and as a result a lot of her advice and help comes across flat and empty.
This is going to sound cheesy but it's true. I use to be a negative person that was angry at everyone. This book helped me change the way I look at things. I am more of a positive person and it made me realize that everyone is unique and has a purpose! It may not seem like...more
I highly recommend it and couldn't recommend it enough for people, especially young women, who are struggling to love themselves and are looking to change their lives positively.

Maybe you would enjoy it if you were a supermodel but when the hardships in her life include changing managers, getting up at 4am and doing a photoshoot in the snow it was difficult to take her cliched advice seriously.
My favourite bit is after her nonsense she then includes a series of pictures of herself in bikinis looking hot, for no reason. Thanks miranda! I guess i probably should opt for self help books written by someone normal who has can...more
Ms. Kerr is a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her ideas are derivative and simplistic, but they are kind and joyful. I think this would be a very encouraging book for preteen girls who may be struggling with quest...more
Why I decided to read this book:
Growing up, I don’t recall admiring models in the way a lot of young girls do. I’ve never understood why they were so admirable and frown upon at the same time. We have all seen skinny twig like ‘woman’ who prance along the catwalk in ugly clothes and my perception of them was this. However, I wanted to change my view on them, give them a second chance, so what better is there to do than read book written by one.

Throughout the book, Miranda Kerr manages to include stories from her past relating to the issue, and give you ideas on how to, for example, have balance in your life. BUT, here is where she is different to other authors that try to make you feel good. She doesn't say what you should do, nor what can be an...more
I enjoyed her views on everything. I thought it was well written and thought out and that she really did have a message to say about every topic she discussed. The book has taught me some things and some lessons and will help me along th...more
