Drinking and flying is a bad combination. Stephan Forks learns this the hard way when he rams another ship in spite of the vastness of space. A moment later, a strange woman stands on his bridge, looking around with a frown. She's clearly a figment of his imagination. The good advice that one shouldn't drive drunk is valid even for spaceships, a small detail that Stephan Forks ignores when he tries to drown old sorrows. He rams a ship manned by one single woman, and quickly dismisses her as a figment of his imagination. Only, when he wakes up the next day, she's still there, sitting in his bed, eating strawberries. So begins the story of the Goddess and the space rogue, and Hammarblad lets us follow them on some quite appealing adventures.

Being the first book
A genetically enhanced drunk meets beautiful Goddess resulting in instant and unexpected attraction. Maria Callaway is the strong heroine women want to be, and once he sobers up Stephan Is the handsome, powerful and protective man we want to be loved by.

Lovestory aside the adventures piling up around them are fascinating and made me want to keep reading. The descriptions of different environments and species capture the imagination without getting technical and boring.

I received a copy of Touch of the Goddess in exchange for my review.

Stephen wants to escape his ghosts, and to do that he has turned to alcohol. Drunk in the middle of space, the last thing he expects is for a beautiful woman to suddenly appear on the bridge of his ship, saying that he crashed into her. Maria isn't just a beautiful woman though, in fact she is what humans would refer to as a Goddess, and for some reason she can't help

I am not a sci-fi fan, nor am I an admirer of romance, but I am now a Maria Hammarblad fanatic. I just finished an incredible journey in Maria’s book “Touch of the Goddess”. This book is exploding with adventure and charisma.

You anxiously find yourself on one exciting escapade after another, with the omnipotent Maria Callaway, and her dutiful, yet superior mortal Stephan Forks. You half expect to be exhausted by the continuous adrenaline rush, but instead find yourself eager for more. Hammarbla
This is quite literally the worst piece of fiction I have ever tried to read. I'm sure the author is a lovely person, but she is not a fiction writer. I could say more, but I don't want to be mean.

I won this book in the First Reads giveaway.

A nice book with a good balance between adventure, cuteness and drama. I love the associations to Greek mythology! Can't wait for book two. Hurry up and write it already!

Born in Sweden in the early 1970's, Maria showed a large interest for books early in her life. Even before she was able to read or write, she made her mom staple papers together that she drew suns in, and proudly declared them to be the "Sun Book." They were all about the sun. This fascination with books and writing lasted through her teens, but as an adult, her career veered off towards desktop p ...more
