I bought this book for my Kindle as it was a decent price and looked like it could be good.
Little did I know it would be the best book i have read in ages!!
I read mostly about vampires/werewolves/fairies etc, so it was time to buy something a little different, and I have to say I fell in love with this book.

Cassia Tiponi is your typical University student, short of cash, and looking for something to earn a little extra. So she offers herself as a guinea pig to the science department for medica

In brief: A college student - Cassia Tiponi - needs money for school fees and agrees to a series of tests for the science department for cash.

So far, so interesting - I thought!

But then.... The blood test reveals that she doesn’t have human DNA, which leads to a whole new level of ridiculous.

Then she experiences horrendous experiences while being imprisoned by government officials (surveillance camera's - hello?) who want to keep her to experiment on or something.

She escapes of course, with t

Wow.. I have read Inhuman last week and it still lingers with me. It is the kind of story that stays with you long after you have finished reading the book and put it back on the shelf. It is hard to find the words and do justice to the way Inhuman made me feel. Because isn't the ultimate goal of reading: to make us feel someway? Be it excitement, trepidation, thrill or joy, we read to experience these emotions. And Inhuman is certainly one novel which will take you on an extraordinary ride of e ...more

While some things were obvious in the book as to how it was going to end, I enjoyed reading it. The idea was a new one. I was hoping that there was going to be a twist at the end but it didn't happen. I did have one thought though, where were the security cameras in the hall way. I guess that it is possible that they didn't want to video tape themselves doing anything wrong. I still enjoyed reading it and was sad at the end. This is a book that I will read once and enjoy but I don't think that ...more

THis book was recommended by a friend and we read it together on kindle and I enjoyed it although I felt it was rushed and lacking in description in various parts of the book I was also left with many unanswered questions and feel there needs to be a sequel to explore the other characters and their roles in the book .

This was a very good a story about a girl who learns who she is and what her dreams mean and the adversity she goes through to escape the men in black. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the unexplained

I enjoyed the writing somewhat. But I hated the fact that before ever chapter end the author finished with "I did not expect what happened next..." kinda thing.. So annoying!

I liked that the characters actually pee in this one. That's rare

Cassia is an orphan raised by her adoptive grandmother on a Hopi Indian tribe reservation in Arizona. Wanting to make a new life for herself she left for college to Washington D.C. Two years before. The problem, money is tight to make tuition so she volunteers to be the medical students guinea pig for the cash she needs. Having been unusually healthy her whole life, all of these tests are new to her. During the course of her daily tests she meets an amazingly Handsome man who takes her out a cou ...more
This book was a bit odd for me, but was still a quick, fairly enjoyable read.

Cassia is an orphan, raised by her adopted grandmother and is now a student at university. To make ends meet, she volunteers for medical trials in order to raise some much needed cash, only for the doctors to find out she is not normal. Her DNA, something so "small and trivial" (as stated in the book a few times), doesn't match that of human DNA, so she is whisked away by the Men In Black (aka the Majestic 12) for a ser

Cassia Tiponi is a twenty-year old student who needs to make some extra money to cover her tuition fees. She volunteers as a guinea pig and is subjected to a series of medical tests. She doesn’t like it a lot, but she goes back several times as the pay is quite good.

One day, when she goes back, she is questioned and locked in a room as it turns out she has non-human DNA. As she was abandoned at birth she has no idea what her background is but she’s being kept locked up as a criminal.

The plot and premise of this book have a lot of potential, but the writing is just so horrible that I couldn't force myself to finish it. I got about half way through and just couldn't take it any more. I really did want to know what happened to Cassia and her hunky man in black, so I decided maybe I could just skim the chapters to find out what happens. Even skimming through 5 chapters, I finally decided I just didn't care enough. The story is full of over reactions, strong character attachment ...more

I started this book a few months ago and then stopped. I picked it up again a few days ago, and I loved it!!

This is a well written story that follows the story of Cassia. Life is going great....until she meets Keanu that is...!!

From then on, her life spirals out of control and in a direction she couldn't possibly have dreamed!!

The author gives great detail in to the characters personalities, surroundings as well as the plot. I was completely immersed in a world torn upside down and was constantl

Inhuman captured me from the first chapter.

Cassia is just a normal girl going to college doing what she can to pay for school, which means being a temporary guinea pig for some medical students. She goes in for the last time only to be taken away and locked up in a secret government facility where, because she doesn't have human DNA, she's treated like a specimen to be examined, cut, poked at and worse....

In Inhuman Cassia goes through a very difficult and emotional journey to learn the truth o

There were a few interesting ideas in the story, but it was overall rather poorly developed. The writing, while not actually truly bad, didn't draw me in and I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters who were pretty much all walking and talking (in not particularly convincing dialogue, I might add) clichés. Cassia's emotions and thoughts were not very believable and quite erratic throughout the story which had a bunch of holes in it. (e.g. security cameras, anyone?)
And... "the

This story felt a little short. The plot line begins 20 years prior and doesn't give you much to go on. This may be with purpose as the protagonist isn't aware of her history. I felt some of the details of childhood could have been included earlier. This felt like a first story for the author. Maybe she didn't fully flesh out the characters. It feels like a few chapters went missing. I came away with the impression that it was over edited. Over all there was enough to keep me going but I had to ...more

I had this book on my kindle for ages and hadn't been inspired to read it because the cover and title I thought was off putting. how very wrong I was. hooked from beginning to end. how refreshing to read something supernatural without vampires and werewolves. so if you are looking for something slightly different don't delay read this cause it was really good. there are a lot of negative reviews for this book but I guess it's a kind of love it or hate it book but I loved it! I didn't like this book. It seems pretty promising in the beginning, but things just didn't come off as real. She jumped too soon and then the plot went in a downward spiral quickly after she was abducted. The only thing that made me finish the book was because I was wondering what would happen to her.

What. The. Fuck. Did i just read? This book starts out ok for maybe 5 pages or so and gets increasingly ridiculous as it goes on. Entirely boring, silly, cliche, and predictable, Inhuman by Danielle Lee is not worth 2 minutes of your time. LOOK! I even added a new "wtf" shelf just so that this book can belong in its rightful place!

This is a very quick read, and the story is definitely interesting. My main complaint is that there is little variety in sentence structure and it quickly became jarring; the story would have benefited from a rewrite. Nonetheless, I still had trouble putting the book down. Great premise, engaging characters, it just felt too much like a first draft.

It was starting to get interesting but when it got to the rapes i lost interest. I read to be entertained & take a break from my life - that is not how i want my limited time to be spent. I'm not saying that it isn't a good book - just not for me.
