I downloaded your Playbook onto my Kindle after hearing your add on a local radio station (KPXQ). Dis-belief at first, but after researching your openness, (what's been said about you) what you write and what is said of you seems to be fairly accurate. Mr. Henry you have become the bright spot for me out here who believed that starting and running a small business was an impossible dream. Now through your book and it's Ministry principles, there's a better possibility for success. I loved the fa...more

I ended up finishing this book over the Thankgiving weekend and found it to be the most unique biz book I've ever read. The Author spends the entire sixteen chapters describing how he became successful (not at all uncommon) BUT... not by his own ego, by his humble attitude towards his people. Emphasizing over-and-over it's the people that make you or break you, not profits.
His stories and the way in which he tells them are fantastic. Backed-up by his hundreds of reviews from his past businesses,...more

A spirit led journey into entrepreneurship by which the Author explains in a play-by-play format using Football as a theme. The sixteen chapters and 200+ pages are just enough to make you want more. Teaming with a plethora of great easy to impliment suggestions he's already tried. When finished, it will be a great reference book too. The only thing I would recommend to this Author, Steve Henry, is perhaps pictorials to some of your explanations. For instance the Chapter "5" Feed Your Team. It wo...more

I arrived late to his last book signing at Scottdale Borders and Chick-Fil-A. So I missed him. Everyone said it was a great time.
As for my unsigned book, it was a very good example of how-to start a small business, focusing primarily on the customers experience. I wanted to meet this Author, luckily he'll be in Peoria next week. Thank you,

My girlfriends and me are going to open our Salon soon & discovered through another classmate this book. The Playbook for Small Businesses by Steve Henry @ B&N.com. This Author does a great job teaching, not so much, how-to-but, you'd better be ready before taking the entrepreneur plunge. Focusing on the spiritual gift.

This is a great book with many ideas on how-to manage a successful small business, reconizing that it's the customer/fans that will make you or break you. Steve Henry brought in a football theme including two-time Super Bowl winning coach, Tom Flores from the Oakland Raiders to help illustrate his message.

Downloaded this Playbook onto my Kindle for $10. Through a ministry of delightful well thought-through ideas Steve Henry provides plenty of entertainment while dispensing many proven strategies that make sense. Chapter #13 "Living in the Red Zone." A definite favorite. Thanks for sharing. JF

The Playbook for Small Businesses was given to me by a friend. She brought it to work and raved about it. Very customer friendly, simple and entertaining to read. Interesting dialogue because the Author describes his latest work through his last business, a used car lot.

Definitely a book for the Mom-and-pop shop. Some good ideas centered around how a football coach would coach his team to a championship victory using Christian priciples.
Evidently this Author believes without any faith, your doomed. I liked that.

A friend turned me on to this great business read. Her Dad has a small business and said it really opened his eyes to creative thinking. This book by Steve Henry is very innovative. His inate gift to create ideas in his own business made him a lot of money.

A great Godly approach. Heard you on the radio the other day and thought to myself, what a great idea. If God provides why not a small business as long as it can be managed Christ-Like. Excellent book. God Bless You for spelling this out.

I bought this book at Parchments book store on the Calvary Campus where my wife and I attend service. It's been all over the local radio station KNKT. We own our own animal grooming business and found it very insightful.

I had to see what all the excitement was about this book. Most reviews are accurate in that the Author is real and down-to-earth in his approach. Recommended for those who have a small biz or would like to own one someday.

This Author uses his Ministry to strengthen his business. (A used car facility & finance company), that has survived this downturn, completely unscathed. I'm a business major and found this story to be amazing.

My dad turned me onto this book for my birthday. He insisted I read it before starting my own business. He's right, so far it provides the thought process one needs to have before jumping in. Thanks Dad!

It's a Christian business how-to book. The Author refers to the New Testament throughout the 16 chapters. Very well done. His story-telling is quite good using a lot of famous people he's met up with.
Eugene

I didn't know this book would be this religious. Steve Henry inserts where he can (every chapter). Aside from that it's a damm good business book with great teachings. E
