Been on my shelf for about 10+ years after I bought it from old library stock. Although it's now very dated (written in 1976), I suspect much of theory still holds true, and could well be worse some 40 years later (see recent campaigns over "girls' toys" and the inability to buy girls clothes in anything but pink). Other things have improved eg in education in that everyone does all subjects, including what's now domestic science, up to c.14 years.
