I listened to the audiobook of Rooted. Murray Pura is a passionate writer and story-teller. It was a pleasure to listen to this book – a book to get back to again. I love gardens and enjoy Gods beautiful creation, so I was really looking forward to hear what the author had to share about this. When I saw Murray Pura was a contributor to my Renovare Bible, I had to snatch one of his books up. Renovare books are always rich in contemplation, and Rooted doesn't disappoint. As a lover of books that connect nature with deep truths of God, I can't wait to read Streams. But I won't be getting it soon. I need to go over all the highlights in Rooted until the spiritual lessons I learned are planted in my heart. This is what Renovare books are like. This was a short, thoughtful book that I really enjoyed. Even though I don't have much experience with gardening myself, I do love the outdoors and appreciated the metaphor and imagery Pura used. I think this would be a book that would really be enjoyed by someone that loves gardening and who finds spiritual lessons or comforts in their own garden.
