In the second book of Sunny's Monere series, about a race of people who are descendants of the moon, the first Mixed Blood Monere Queen Mona Lisa arrives in New Orleans to take over her new territory. With her are her two mates Warrior Lords Gryphon and Amber, her brother Thaddeus, a Mixed Blood family of three, and three other guards in her service. Sunny is a breath of fresh air. She is so much better then Laurell K. Hamailton, but yet everyone is comparing her and thinking she is under her in her writing style. I think not. I think she may have some things in common with Laurell's Gentry series, but she takes the good things from that series and leaves out what Laurell should be doing, so I hope Sunny keeps writing her way and Laurell hopefuly reads her work and may be learns a thing or two.

Romance, paranormal, mild erotica... not too racy ;-)
This is the 2nd book in a series about the Monere... they are a group of people that are like shifters, but with some other unique qualities. They worship the moon and they have queens... this book comes after Mona Lisa Awakening and it is an amazing sequal. The romance is hot and I love all the characters... this one also has a surprise at the end. I would highly recommend it but read book 1 first.

Should be classed as erotica. I really liked these characters and the premises of the book but the sex was way too graphic. I wished she had enough faith in herself to realize we didn't need the sex to enjoy the book maybe her publisher said it was way to short and to fill it out and the sex was all she could think of. All that sex really wasn't necessary

In the continuation of the series the tone gets a bit deeper into the Monere way of life. Mona Lisa is confronted with choices that make her confront a past she never knew she had. She gets another visit from Halcyon and confronts Mona Lousia, with dire consequences.

If you took LKH, mixed in a scoop of J.R.Ward and added more than a pinch of Anne Bishop then this is what you'd get. A really good reading experience. I highly recommend all the books in this series and the spin off series.

It wasn't as great as the first in the series but was still a creative easy read.
I have the next in the series on hold at the library and will get to it soon.

The follow-up to the first book. If you liked the first you'll like this one. If you didn't like the first don't bother with this one, it's not any different.

way to go Halcyon! and Halcyon's Dad...whoa! and if Mona Lisa had met Halcyon first, there is no doubt she'd have hooked up with him.
