There's a good chance that Stanzas is probably my favorite of Agamben's many wonderful books, if only because it's really the element of wonder that shines through here in his writing. Here you'll find something like a 'pre-theological' Agamben, an Agamben still ruminating on love and poetry, fascinated by the role of the 'phantasmic' in medieval medical treteases, and exploring the weird and fantastical world of enchanted objects during second Industrial Revolution.
