The Possession by Jaid Black has been on my Amazon wishlist for over a year.
A number of years ago I read her Trek Mi Q'an series - my first real intro to erotic - and LOVED IT! The Possession didn't disappoint. It was extremely hot & sexy, dealing with sexual fantasy (techinally it's an Ellora's Cave Taboo book) in a way that few other books will.

This is a truly freaky cover. I don't know if you can see this, but it's done by computer graphics - which explains why she looks completely unrealistic. Aside from it's utter tackiness and dungeon vibe, it's completely misleading. This is actually a pretty tame story, 100% romance through-and-through, with some light exhibitionism, lots of nudity and, yes, a bit of sex. Apart from the basic premise, it's not even especially kinky.

I can't say I loved this book but as far as the sex went, it was fun and naughty. My biggest issue was that everything wrapped itself up so perfectly. It was too easy for me. On the other hand, it's not like I picked up the book for its deep introspective discourse on the rise and fall of human civilization. I read it for the sex. And I got sex in it. So, you know, yay!

I read this a while ago and have been debating whether to give it 3 stars or 4. The things I like about it, I like a lot - the steamy D/s sexuality, Jaid Black's touches of humor. Both Kris and Jack are well-drawn and likable. I love a surly hero and Jack is wonderfully surly!

The premise of the good girl wanting to be wild was believable although how she goes about it is extreme to say the least. Once H/h get together the story is hot, but kinda tame for a BDSM story. The most eyebrow raising parts happen at the resort before the H/h are alone. Overall, good plot and characters - I laughed at the Grinch and Nutty Professor references, so it's not all serious. I was intrigued by John's story and would like to read what happens when he closed down the House.

A damn hot little read. Kris (Krissy) needs to get away from her normal safe life and do someting wild, crazy and out of the norm for her, at a type of resort for men looking for submissive women, which is where Krissy runs into Jack and their feelings for each other come to the surface. The only issue I really had wih it was the use of the word "daddy" it never really works for me in reads, I find it a tad off-putting, but other than that it was a steamy read.

It was okay but with one small issue I had of the guy kept telling the girl to "Put him in your mouth." It was just a little weird to me, although I'm sure it's not unheard of. Here's hoping a man never says something to me like that because I'd probably bust out laughing in his face, and that'd probably be a mood killer and I wouldn't get any. :(

This was a quick read with lots of intensity and steamy sex scenes. Essentially this story is about the caterpillar turning into a butterfly and then the collector worshiping that butterfly... if you catch my drift. I can never remember if I like Ms. Black and then I remember this story. I did like this story. This was great dynamic between office mates. I enjoyed it greatly. The humour was good. Kris is funny and innocent. Jack is a jackass but really isn't. I recommend it for a fun read.
