This audiobook (written by Neil Wenborn and read by Roy McMillan) is only 90 minutes long, so it's perfect if you want a quick and dirty explanation of events while you're on a treadmill or some such thing. I'd also recommend it for any high school student about to take French class or study French history so they don't go into class cold OR use this as a primer before reading Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables" or Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities."

My one problem with the audiobook is the Wenbo

Pretty much does what it says on the tin, a very brief overview of the key events. Would be interesting to learn how the popular masses that seem to crucial to the political events were organised and how their internal dynamics worked, but that is a question for a more in depth study.

* The metric system a product of the revolution
* The French were involved in the American revolution
* New taxes needed to be with approval of the 3 estates with majority rule
* The 3rd estate (which is the people) decorated itself a National Assembly
