Puppy Love is the story of Matt and Petey. Not only do they identify as a Dominant-submissive gay couple, but they also defy many of the stereotypes of this type of relationship. They rarely dress in leather; they don't hang out at sex clubs, and they have little interest in many of the heavy BDSM sexual practices. There is no denying, however, that Matt is the Master and...more

It is with a sad heart that I write this review but I am also very happy at the same time. My favourite couple’s story has come to an end, and what an ending it was. As I have mentioned before I was a little skeptical about reading the series, and I blame that on my preconceived notions of what a D/s relationship was really like. I have always had an aversion to someone telling another what to do and running his/her life. That was my single story of a D/s relati...more

Finally, the long awaited (by me anyway) conclusion to Matt and Petey’s story. I began reading this third and final installment of the Puppy Love books, greatly looking forward to reading Matt and Petey’s happy ending, and whilst I enjoyed this book a great deal, I think the second book will always be my favourite of the series.

As this book begins, there are a number of loose ends flapping about from the last book. Matt has been outed to his parents and as a result thrown out of his home and had...more

I'll review in a bit but I'll share that I marathon read it forgoing sleep, food, and the provocations of my partner and wasn't disappointed :D

I can say that I have not been disappointed with this series. All three books are excellent. We clearly see the evolution of the characters, especially the MCs. In book 3, the author wants us to understand that it can very well be love in a D/s and BDSM relationship and he succeeds very well.

There is suspense too. So the novel sustains our attention and we want to know what will happen next.

For those who know me a little better, you might be surprised to learn that there is not a great deal of B...more

The entire series was very nice at some point in the series I did really find Petey the sub character really pathetic, weakling blah blah blah.....but at the end of the series author Jeff erno did describe it in away that I felt I should give it a break and not be so judgemental about it may be I don't like such kind of character but some do, some people need these kind of people, like our Matt. My God hats off to Matt who had such patience and tolerance to deal with Petey and his leaking tap of...more
IS THIS BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS?!!! Damnit Jeff Eron, answer my emails!!!

oh my god. Im being such a fangirl right now. This series just wow. SOOO MUCH DRAMA! But it was so good. Seeing Matt and Petey grow was worth all the times I wanted to punch Matt in the face. There were times I really wanted Petey and Drew to just say "fuck it" and run away together. I need a soul mate dangit. The story started to drag a bit for me because there was just a lot of reflection and summary that I didn't need but...more
The third in the series comes full circle with the first. There is a lot of rationalization for this lifestyle in this book (and series). Ultimately I did find all of it helpful in my understanding. I came to care for the characters and found it fulfilling as a story. Not something I can really understand but something I can accept.
Oh these threee books are so good. After reading the first book I did not like Matt very much. By the end of Book 3 you are totally in love with Matt and all the characters. I would rate this as one of the few books that I would give more than 5 stars. If you can get through the first book you will just love these books.

So much happened in this novel. I alwayd knew the plot had potentiak but I still had a problem with the repetitiveness. I mean somethung happened five minutes ago. I read it. As the audience I was there with the character exoeriencing the event. There is no need really to repeat thus event in full to another character for the audience to read it.....again! Mr. Erno needs to find another way to do this either tell us yiu told them without repeating the events or let us hear about the event while...more

The first thing I noticed was the strange contrast between the familiarity I had with these characters and indeed the short span their story lasted in total: this is the third book in a series all centred around Petey, a young and at the beginning innocent guy, and his boyfriend, and Master, Matt. All three books are pretty long, and both characters are probably “older” than their true age, and so, when I was more or less in the middle of the third book, I was surprised when Petey highlighted th...more

This review is for all three books:

For someone who was in doubt whether I could connect with the MCs in a m/m book I am now faced with the opposite problem: I identified myself so much with Jeff's characters, that I am now wondering if I am a gay man trapped in a woman's body. How is that for connecting with the characters??

I absolutely LOVED this three-book series. They are in my favorite book list of all time. I laughed outloud with some of the conversations. I never thought that an erotica b...more
I'm really glad I finished this series and did not give it up after reading book 1. It was a hard read for sure and I had a lot of conflicting opinions when reading them. But after book 1 it just got better and better.

When I finally got around to reading the last book, I was very happy with the ending. It's really sweet and I think a great way to end it. I love Petey!! Petey and Drew are so cute!! I think theyre soul mates. Drew and Petey go through so much in this book. And Matt's mom, is so sweet. Let me just say, Drew is still my all time character in all three books. But seriously, if you have never read BDSM before, i think this is a good start. If you dont like BDSM, then this might not be the book for...more

I read all three back to back. 2 stars for book 1, 3 stars for book 2 and 4 stars for book 3.
Book 1: Petey's constant "Matt's superior to lowly me" thing bugged me. Didn't like Matt at all. Felt like he was just using Petey. BUT, I liked it enough to buy...
Book 2: Petey starts to grow in this one and liked Matt much better. I admit to skipping alot of Petey's inner dialogue. Lots going on in this book and it kept my interest.
Book 3: Definitely liked Petey and Matt as a true couple. I liked thei...more
The first two in this series were easy five star reads for me. This one was... Good, but not great. For me, anyway. I loved certain aspects of it and others not so much. I felt like it was just over the top in parts and had too many bubblegum sweet bits that were just...out of place? The resolution with Ryan just seemed SO unrealistic as did a few other parts of the wrap. Still good and I'd be lying if I said I didn't go "AW!" a lot because I do like bubblegum sweet for the most part. There was...more

YES it took 3 books for me to FINALLY not want to go Lorraina Bobbit on Matt...I loved this book, especially when Matt finally quit cheating on Petey! I really didnt like the treat him like a dog sex thing where he caged him up though...it went a little far for me. But thats why i normally dont read BDSM books, some of the stuff just seems extreme..GREAT BOOK, i truelly did not think Matt could be turned into a likeable character...but the author did it in the last book.
The author has really held my interest and engaged my curiosity (google has been busy). I can't say I agree with all the choices characters have made but that is what has made the series interesting. In my opinion the characters has stayed true to their basic personalities, no one suddenly 'saw the light', or changed drastically overnight. Again I found the writing picturesque and enjoyed the story.
I will probably reread the books soon...now that I know more : )

After reading the first two books, I had to finish the series. The books take place over the span of a year, and it's great to see how these guys have matured over that time, and even more, how they see themselves and their relationship continuing to mature in the future. There is a lot of drama and emotion in this one, and absolutely one of the besting endings I've read.

this was a bit of a love fest, annoyingly so at times, but I am glad I read it. Don't get me wrong there were some smoking hot scenes but they didn't have the edge the first two books had. Nothing about this was challenging and I missed that. It made this book almost vanilla. but it was a sweet end to the trilogy though even if my teeth do ache a bit.

Third one is not bad either, but a bit on the unbelievable side. How can so many things happen to the same people in a matter of days?

But over all, not a bad ending to the series....
Didn't stand up to my standards of the rest of the series, I can't help but feel there wasn't much plot in this one, just fluff as a filler. But, I still enjoyed it, even if it wasn't quite as good as the other two books in the series.
Loved this book! I recommend reading book one and two first, simply so that you can see how far the characters come. Still bdsm, master/sub, so if you don't like bossy sex, it's not for you. I loved it!
Not as good as the first two books in the series but it was good to read the ending in the life of these characters.
Besides the excessive and sometimes inappropriate use of the word "ya", I liked this last book the most.
I absolutely enjoyed this series. It was so down to earth. Made me think of my own relationship :)
