The title covers what this book is about. The author was a little too clinical for my taste, giving a lot of statistics and sometimes lacking a more personal nature to the stories. Three different families who've emigrated from India to New Jersey are the focus of this book. I did found the accounts interesting, but sometimes got confused as to who was who.
3 families emigrated to America at different times. Live in the Edison NJ area. Very interesting story of how the Indians in America span a large socio-economic cross section. I was struck by how little we help each other

A little dramatic for non-fiction, but this book was an amazing read and a total page-turner.
It really put the Indian community in the US, in perspective for me.
This was an OK read. I wish it had at least one example of a "professional" family though and/or a South Indian family.
