Everyone wants to meet their soul mates.
Everyone wants to be with that special person.
What if he/she does appear to you in a dream?
Would you believe that he exists?
What if fate decided to intervene and you did meet, would you leave the person you are with now to be with him/her?

When Lauren turned 18, she has been getting dreams about a man whom he hasn't met yet.
Lauren called him her "destiny".

When I first started reading this story I couldn’t figure out whether it was YA, Paranormal, Fantasy, or Romance. It actually ended up being an interesting and well written amalgamation of all four genres.

Lauren is a college student who is strangely clairvoyant. She gets impressions about people and is aware of events before they happen. Working in a fast food restaurant, Lauren encounters one of these events that alters the course of her destiny. Placing herself in harm’s way, Laure

I received this book to review for the Read2Review program in the Paranormal Romance/Fantasy Addicts group. Thanks to the mods and the author for providing this book for us to read.

My feelings for this book are all over the place. The book started off great. From page one we are brought right into the action. Our main character, Lauren, works at a fast food joint, and she has always felt she is able to feel things, and get warnings of danger which can help her prevent bad things fr More...

Holy Cow! That was really intense, I loved it. I felt like I was riding Drop Zone at Kings Island. I practically spent most summers at Kings Island. Anyone from that area knows what I am talking about. For all of you who haven't been there here are some pictures.

I love this book. Its a great story that is interesting from page 1. I couldn't wait to get from page to page. It was a much better than I expected based on the cover...but I heard that the cover might be changing so I'm excited to see what comes of that. As soon as I finished it last night, I immediately bought the 2nd book in the series, Destiny's Revenge.

So, this is a story of a college-aged girl, Lauren who has amazing intuition. She just "feels" when things or people More...

Lauren is a college student who is in tune with her intuition. She listens to her "gut" in her life and follows the feelings she has, and they never have led her astray. She also has recurring dreams about the man that is supposed to be her "Destiny". Unfortunately, it is not her current boyfriend.

I liked the love story, the pace of the book, the mystery and action that was woven through. This was another book that I had a hard time putting down.

I cannot express how much I have enjoyed this book! I have read quite a few lately that I have not been able to connect to, so this was a great surprise!

The book starts off with Lauren at work. Her boyfriend,

Seth
is saying goodbye and her friend, Melissa is working the register. Lauren notices a strange man walk into the restaurant and all the hair on the back of her neck stands at attention. She quickly gets Melissa to go do some other chore so that she can take car More...

Meeting Destiny by Nancy Straight

This book was a lot different that I expected and it was a very pleasant surprise to say the least.

The written description of the book had me thinking this was going to be more of a young adult romance read with some paranormal elements thrown in. I orignally put this back on the "Maybe I will read it" list and went to read another book. I really don't read young adult books, most of them do not catch or hold my attention and I did More...

MEETING DESTINY is about a girl called Lauren Davis. She is visited in her dreams for years by a man claiming to be her 'Destiny'. Seth and Lauren grew up together, went to school together, so the next natural step - dating each other.

Meeting Destiny by Nancy Straight is a paranormal romance that reads like a thriller. Once you start you won't be able to stop.

Even if the romance between Lauren and Max hadn't wrapped itself around my heart and pulled me through the story with breath-taking urgency, the suspense alone would have. At times it was unbearable. I stayed up all night reading and was too tired to write a review (or anything else) the next day. It's a good thing the sequel wasn't available. I would've kept More...

Firstly, let me address the cover. From the lovely font used for the title to the beautiful model chosen, I love this cover. It's beautiful.
When I was asked if I was interested in reading this, it was obviously the cover that I saw first and it instantly drew me in. I am a cover- magpie as my friends know.
If you were to put me in a bookshop that was split into only two sections, the Gorgeous Covers and the Not So Gorgeous Covers, I would only shop in the Gorgeous section. Shallow? Y More...

Meeting Destiny was totally not what I expected. From reading the description, I prepared for an easy young adult read with a paranormal bite. Instead, what I got was a wonderfully written realistic story about a girl named Lauren who has an extremely keen sense of intuition.

The story reads like half realistic romance and half thriller, there were some parts of it that had me on edge. The start of the story reaches out and draws you in with full-blown action. Lauren is working a res More...

I honestly want to know if everyone else was reading the same book that I was, because that was horrible. I don't even have words for how bad this was other than the fact that I could actually manage to get over halfway in reading it, and that only was because I couldn't manage to find it in me to stop before I gave it more of a chance than I had.

First off, the only thing that was good was the opening scene because I honestly wanted to know what was happening. It's not often that a b More...

This was a book that captivated me from the very first page. It starts off the story with a heroic act and really sets up the beginning of the novel well. The writing style was easy to get to grips with and the characters were really great to get to know and I loved each and every one of them. The story kept me hooked throughout and I found it really difficult to put the book down to go and do something else. There never seemed to be a dull moment and hearing it all from Lauren’s perspective is More...

The most memorable trait about the MC, Lauren, was her impeccable instincts. They may have put her in some tricky situations, but more often than not they were helpful. I have to admire Lauren on her courage throughout the story. She stayed true to her path when her family and friends worried about her decisions regarding trusting her instincts. Despite her cool sixth sense and amazing boyfriend, Lauren was quite a forgettable character. Even though we are reading her thoughts she didn’t have mu More...

Meeting Destiny is the story of Lauren and her journey to meeting her ‘destiny’ who happens to be the very swoon worthy and gorgeous, Max.
The road to true love doesn’t run smooth but after a few incidents with her ex-boyfriend, Seth, things seem to be going well.
Lauren is always finding herself in dangerous situations, which of course, is all part of her path in life.

At first, I wasn’t sure if this novel was actually a paranormal or contemporary romance but it turned out to b More...

Ugh...why must I, again, be the bearer of bad news to many who seem to be infatuated with this book. Makes me feel like there must be something wrong with me. Why didn't I like this book like everyone else?

I came across this book on Goodreads when I was looking at a friend's selection of "to-read" novels. The titled interested me and I thought the cover was pretty. And to top it all off it was only a buck on Amazon. So I thought what the heck! I'll give it a shot.

Thanks to R2R for giving me the opportunity to read this book. I am a HUGE believer in fate/destiny so I was sucked in quickly. Are there really any coincidences in life? Not according to Rewsna….and maybe she is right. Our heroine, Lauren, accepts her intuitive abilities and lets them guide her actions. If we all actually listened to our gut feelings life would be very different. But as Lauren learned, being intuitive is not always easy and does have its drawbacks.
I enjoyed the pace of More...

I enjoyed this book. It reminded me a little bit about another book I read recently called Incarnate only because they both had a theme of souls that are meant to be with each other. I guess the romantic in me likes that. I also liked that Lauren learns that each person in your life has a purpose in it. That purpose may be for romantic reasons or just to gear you in the right direction. I like that because it has taken me quite some time to not be disappointed when friendships end - it helps to More...

What a great read! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Lauren and Max.

Everyone has a destiny...right? Lauren initially believes the Max of her dreams was simply a figment of her imagination. Until, she meets him while she's in an ambulance. Now that she's met him, she can't let him go. However, Destiny may have other plans.

With all that happens, one has to wonder if Lauren is destined for greatness or a magnet for trouble. She learns so much about destiny and fat More...
