My thoughts:
Black Destiny is Book two in the Black Opal Series and it packs a delicious punch just as Black Legacy did. For a novella it contains lots of action, and enough character descriptions and dialogue to feel you know Lily and Kerr.

Pretending to be a male soldier, Lily is fighting side by side with the delicious Kerr, trying to make sure he gets off planet to save him, by whatever means necessary. I felt duped with Lily pretending to be a guy, i wanted more hot smex t
Heroine Lily Black is a no-nonsense operative that has slid under the radar of her fellow soldiers thus far by posing as a male to help them defeat the alien Serpentis. Her mission is a bit more complicated with the fact that she has time shifted to secretly protect her commanding officer, Kerr Strome, and stall the progress of the evil New Order. She holds it together even after taking a bullet meant for Kerr, blowing her cover, and being left behind when the enemy attacks the base.

This is a short story. I love the female lead, Lily Black. She is bad ass through and through. Story was action packed and I was sucked in. The problem I have with short stories is the author seems to hurry along some parts to quickly. For sex scenes to work for me there has to be a big build up and that can't happen in a short where you don't already know the characters. But I think this short is considered "erotica" so the whole point is to get to the sex . Great story line.
Better story then first in series. More story. Could do with more romance and HEA.

More prepared for the short-story aspect of this book, I enjoyed the tale. It left me wanting to read more.
A battle, some sex, the end. Huh?
