I have to say I found out many things I didn't know about gerbils. I highly suggest anyone with a gerbil pick a copy up. It was a complete guide and the pictures were lovely. I also like that they don't put people down for breeding or buying from private breeders. Personally I think private breeders are a great place to get your pet because then you know what it is likely to be like in old age, ect.
Lots of useful info in this one, but I especially did not like the endorsing of pet stores or private breeders, etc. Not that I think Anastasi is ignorant of the conditions plaguing that industry, but I felt she could have made the public a little more informed. I learned much about gerbils though, and will be revisiting this one again, I am sure.
