Famous for Thirty Seconds is a prime example of why it's good not to judge a book by it's cover. Or it's genre for that matter. The cover didn't really appeal to me, and I don't normally read much Middle Grade. None of that really matters though. It's all about what the author puts between the cover. I really found myself surprised by this book. While it pretty much delivered the message I was expecting, it did so in such a natural and well-written way that I really enjoyed it. The ending is well worth the whole book.

Brittany's journey felt very real; shedding the world she "owned" and discovering what's important to her now. She's lucky! Not everyone has a chance to take a look at their life from a fresh point of view.
This is a book you can judge by it's cover! A perfect pick for tweens.This is a book I could put into the hands of my middle school readers with no doubt or fear of inappropriate material.
Main character Brittany is likable and easy to relate to even when her motives and thoughts aren't as perfect as her looks.
