I don't know how much more I can gush about this series, but I'll try. Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark is one of my three favorite paranormal series, the others being J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. What do you do when you love an author so much that you want to give them the acclaim they deserve???

Wow, what a ride! I loved this book. I stayed up till 6 am just reading. Loved every page. Something funny happens to me with this series, every time a pick a book in it I get surprised because it makes me remember why I love this series so much. I was very impressed with the plotline of DoaDW. More complex than many PNRs, but yet still full of action/suspense--kept me on the edge of my seat! She handles the complexity of the world building well--it didn't take away from the relationship focus like some PNRs I've read lately.

I can see why people screamed for more Lothaire when they were done with the story. I would have rather read his story than Chase's.

Ms. Kresley Cole has got her mojo back. Her last book and this one are some of the best! I loved this book. It is long, but I never got tired of it. ***Re-reading. Reminded why this is my least favorite in the series. Oh, Regin, I wanted better for you.
Re-read conclusion. Gets a lot better at the end, but I wish there had been about 50 pages or so more of Regin and Declan flirting/falling in love. They were so serious and hated each other forever, and then suddenly they couldn't do without the other. Ah well. Any Cole read is a good read.

Another view of the facility and island where torture of the lore beings takes place that differs from the book before this one. Regin is a loyal, funny, and opinionated Valkyrie, and with Aidan being reincarnated several times through the years as different aspects of the original man, they both are faithful to each other whether they're aware of it or not. Their on-going love story is a cool idea, and I look forward to continuing the series. Great read!!

I presume you know what the book is about. I'm letting you know what I liked or disliked about it.

As with each book in this series I absolutely loved Dreams of a Dark Warrior.

Regins story really got to me. I'm surprised at how strong my emotions ran with her experiences. I cried - yep, I'm a big sap sometimes - during several points within the book. There's just something about "seeing" a strong, fierce, capable character struggle.
