Then, an unhappy teenaged girl, seated next to Ward on an airplane, steals a family heirloom. Meanwhile, someone (the Watcher) is scripting a death for them for reasons unknown. I was not engaged in this book until the last 20-25% and was all set to give it 2 stars, but it had great, surprise ending.

This author keeps the reader engaged during the whole novel. A couple is grieving the loss of their child of nearly a year ago. What they don't know is someone is watching them and their days are numbered. Is the Watcher someone hired by the grieving husband's competitor or is it some lone nut? Why has the Watcher focused on this couple and why is he out for their blood? You'll have to read the book to find out. You're in not only for one twist but two but you'll never see it coming!

Great surprise conclusion! Never would have guessed who the culprit was! I thought the psychological plot re. the couple who had lost their son was a little contrived until the drugging issue became evident.

Was not disappointed in this book at all. It took me a bit to really get into it~ only because of everyday life~ however the read was good and I would read this author again!
Gory, sadistic, scary stuff. I could not focus on anything else that needed to be done--just stuck to the couch needing to know what happened next. Big surprises!!!
Rollicking thriller based in North Carolina with a few wicked twists at the end. Entertaining.
I read this in one sitting! Yes all 384 pages. Could not put this fast paced thriller down!
