Despite the publisher’s claim that this is a romantic comedy, it’s not at all. It’s got a dash of office romance, some family drama, miscommunication, fear of rejection, and all the classic issues relationships deal with in romance novels but it’s not very funny – actually it’s not funny at all. It’s a decent read but has some serious problems and the prose is not very good in my opinion. I had issues with the writing, characterization, and weak plot though it did have some real strengths in por More...

There was an unevenness in this story that made it hard for me to pin down my conclusion. The start was great - it breezed through the first couple of chapters then the entire tone changed. Perhaps if the publisher hadn't labelled this as a romantic comedy, I wouldn't have expected at least a chuckle or two, or a lightness to the story. The blurb did sound fun, as I'd commented before reading the book, but there was nothing remotely funny about a man struggling with issues like a brother who has More...

Zane Caldwell isn't sure he likes his new coworker Ford Trionni but that doesn't stop him from noticing how hot and sexy the "Italian Stallion" is. He also can't help but notice that Ford is very competitive and quite good at his job. When their boss puts them to work together sparks soon start to fly. But Ford's 'hot and cold' attitude really bothers Zane until unexpectedly Ford opens up about his life outside the office.

I expected something a bit more comedic from reading the blurb. In this first person narrative, Zane keeps going on and on about Ford's "attitude," but I have to say that I liked Ford much better than Zane.
One niggle that I had was that the author used Zane's inner monologue to make political statements a couple of times. That wouldn't have bothered me if they had been worked seamlessly into the plot and dialogue. Unfortunately, they only served to distract me from the story.

I liked the plot, the atraction between main characters and how the text flow. The only thing that bothered me was the coldness of tone the sex scenes where written. You couldn't really feel the heat and how they enjoyed every minute of "the ride", lol. But the end is sweet and romance is pure. Thx
It was definitely likable ^^

Often distracted by writing style/word choice - too self-conciously trying to be clever or erudite. Also by Ford's ass having lips (?!?) and him having a snatch (?!?).

The author writes like a child draws their family for a psychiatrist.
