Lover of Romance
Austin McKettrick, world rodeo star has come home due to a back injury but is too proud to admit it. At home on Silver Spur Ranch, his nurse (elected by his overbearing brothers) is Paige Remington. At first, Paige is frustrated that she is to be his nurse, she has despised Austin ever since he broke her heart back when they were kids in High School. Paige is just as stubborn and willful as any McKettrick, but is afraid to fall in love with Austin again fr he hurt her once and she knows that if...more

The final book of the trilogy and the final brother and sister. I know I've mentioned before but it still bothers me. This book also shares the theme of the first book, high school sweethearts.

Here's how I saw this one. Austin is a stubborn man, he knows what he wants and he isn't afraid to do the hard work to achieve it. But when he hurts himself bull riding his brother hire Paige as his nurse/babysitter. Paige is in between jobs and needs a distraction to all the wedding business going around...more

Since discovering this author a few years ago, I have picked up one of her books every time I come across one. She has always delivered a sweet, enjoyable romance, so I was thrilled when I saw a new title. I was excited that it was part of a trilogy and decided I would run out and get the other two as soon as I could. Not far into this novel, however, I changed my mind and began to believe that Linda Lael Miller had been kidnapped by aliens and replaced by an evil robot because this book was jus...more

I just finished the trilogy, and they were decent. I have to say the little stuff drove me nuts, though, in all three books. Overall, the stories were good, but sometimes the details are what make a good book a GREAT book. There were lots of little things in the books that didn't make sense, or weren't researched enough. Some examples:

In book number one, Libby decides to get on birth control after having sex for the first time without it with Tate. She calls up her doctor and he calls her in a p...more

An excellent finish to this trilogy about a branch of McKettricks of Texas.

Paige Remington has always tried to play catch-up to her two older sisters. Now having to deal with the sisters' weddings on New Years Eve, she is thrown in to turmoil by having to deal with her ex-love-of-her-life, Austin McKettrick.

Austin is also the baby of the family, and could never quite shake the feeling of being treated like he was still wet behind the ears, even though the age difference was one and two years. H...more

Austin almost trumped Garrett in the favorite category. He’s the rodeo bull rider who was quite seriously injured in Tate, and he’s determined to again ride the bull that bested him. It turns out it wasn’t the best idea he’s had when he ends up with a hernia that knocks him off his feet for a bit. With his devil-may-care attitude and endless restlessness, he finds being nursed by the youngest Remington sister both heaven and hell, especially because they had something going a whil...more

I wasn't as thrilled with these books as I was with the other. I was looking forward to this book because Austin was the adventurous one of the brothers (if such a distinction can be made). Miller likes to focus on the family line of the McKettricks and this is the 3rd in a series about a Texan branch. Its not necessary to read the others first, but I would recommend it just for the history it contains.

Austin McKettrick is back home after a bull puts him out of the rodeo for good. Not only is he...more

Austin McKettrick probably rode his last bull that October night. A year ago the bull “Buzzsaw” tore him up so bad it took a team of surgeons and lot of rehab to get him going again. This year at the event in San Antonio he got back up on the two thousand pound bull “Buzzsaw” and stayed on it. Now, a short time later while sitting at a bar he is suddenly feeling the high price his body paid. Something is very wrong and he needs to see a doctor.

A trip to the emergency room, thanks to his brothers...more

I've just got done reading this final book in the McKettricks of Texas series and I LOVED it! Austin is your typical rodeo cowboy....thinks he's 10 feet tall and bulletproof....well it's not very far into the book before that attitude gets cut down to size. He's almost been killed once by a bull but since coming home after this last mishap it seems that the McKettrick "boys" have big ole bulls eyes painted on them.

In comes Paige Remington, a currently unemployed RN, who is living at the Silver S...more

This was pretty good even considering the unlikely pretense of two sisters marrying two brothers , this goes one more step and throws in the last couple that had vowed to be enemies forever. I know that it is last in the trilogy and I didn't even read the previous books. However Tate and Garrett are mentioned so much and background information was given, almost too much it made this story stand alone. I'm actually glad that I didn't read the other two. This story centers on Austin the youngest M...more

My Review:
This book was way more action-packed than the other 2 in this series and I loved that about it. Each of the books in the series have gotten better and better and this was by far, the best one. When I first heard this was a trilogy where 3 brothers hooked up with 3 sisters, I almost didn't read it, because come on... really?!? But Linda Lael Miller pulled it off pretty believably. I actually could see how this could happen especially in a small town.

One thing I have noticed about these...more

This is the 3rd in the Texas McKettricks series. Austin is the youngest brother and his past with the youngest Remington, Paige, is finally catching up with him. Now that his brothers are marrying her sisters, they have to find a way to get along. The only problem is they both seem to be way too attracted to the other, but they know acting on it will be a problem since they will have to be around each other for holidays and other family get-together for the next fifty years.

I was very reluctant to read this book, since I really could not get into the second in the McKettricks series - Garrett. I kept putting it off and finally thought I'd give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I did! I could not put this book down! I just loved the chemistry between Paige and Austin. I loved how they knew how to press each other's buttons. It was such a great, fun read! This book was Linda Lael Miller at her best!

This is the third book into this series of McKettricks of Texas. Austin McKettrick is the badboy, heartthrob of the rodeo. He is nearly killed by a bull he pulls in the first book of this series. He is determined to recover and ride the bull again. Which he does, now he has a bad back and has to go home to the ranch to recover or he may never be the same again. His two older brothers talk Paige Remington into being his nurse against his wishes. Paige and Austin have a volitile past that goes way...more

I liked this book just fine, although I feel like I've read this story again and again. 3 brothers who own a ranch, in turn, fall in love with the love of their lives. This series was different only in that 3 brothers fell in love with 3 sisters. That was my favorite part of the series. I also liked the idea of the one big house with each having their own private quarters so that they can call live together and raise their family together. Liked the idea, wouldn't ever want it for myself though...more

Final installment in the series with the third McKettrick brother, Austin, at a crossroads in his life as were his brothers in their stories. Austin is young (28) but beat up by 10 years on the rodeo circuit and a couple nearly fatal injuries. Paige is his high school sweetheart and the sister of his brothers' fiancees'. Yes, three brothers and three sisters all falling in love at the same time. Stretches the imagination but it's a nice enough scenario to go along with for a few hours as a reade...more

Somehow this book just didn't flow well. I guess it was having so many different characters interacting with each other and not much of it making a lot of sense. I picked it up because of the ad which said an injured man gets stuck with a nurse he doesn't want, which sounded like a great idea for a book, but this was very disappointing. There was little nursing involved, and I really hate books that make light of injuries and have the people who are injured practically go on with their lives as...more

This is why you shouldn't quit reading an author just because you didn't like one of their books. I really disliked the previous book, but because this one came in the mail, I started reading it. The writing was so markedly improved, I was surprised it was the same author. She added humor, improved characterization, pacing was really good, a climax I didn't see, although I could see who dunnit from miles away. She doesn't write children well at all, but this book had less kid content so it wasn'...more

This is the story of the third brother in the McKettrick series. Austin is a world famous bull rider. He gets severely injured and comes home to heal at the ranch. He comes across Paige Remington with whom he has a past relationship. But now his brothers are marrying her sisters and they do not want to start something that make future contact uncomfortable. They find that they can not resist each other. But they have to work out their differences, their past behaviors to each other, and Austin's...more

I'm in two minds about this book. At the heart of it is a warm & enjoyable love story. But surrounding the story itself were a lot of circumstances that I struggled with.

This book is the thirteenth book in a series about the McKettrick family and within that series the third of a trilogy. The previous two books told the love stories of Austin's brothers Tate and Garrett. I picked up this book knowing I had not read any of the oth...more

This one was by far my favorite of the McKettricks of Texas trilogy. The story had a lot more meat and intensity to it than the others. Which made it much more interesting to read.

Series Note:
I'd recommend reading this trilogy (the three McKettricks of Texas books) in order. But you don't have to read the other McKettricks books to read this trilogy.

Summary:
Due to back problems, Austin McKettrick's career in the rodeo is over. So he returns home to heal...and is more than a little annoyed to fin...more

I can't even believe anyone liked this book. The entire series just kept getting worse and worse.

Austin was a jerk and Paige didn't stand up for herself once. She allowed herself to be put in situations where any normal woman would say "Hell No!" And why would anyone be attracted to Austin? Did he once apologize -- even once? Ugh!

Hated the book. 3 sisters marrying 3 brothers on NYE. OMG! Do not waste your time.

When they were young, Austin McKettrick and Paige Remington fell in love. Even though Austin knew Paige had captured his heart and soul, he was not ready for the next step and publicly set up a reason for Paige to dump him.
