"Exposed" by a Boston Herald reporter, Lucy Valentine is suddenly the talk of the town. Long back-story short: Even though the rest of her Valentine ancestors were blessed by Cupid with psychic abilities, Lucy's only special power lies in her ability to find things. This skill has proven quite a blessing for those who come to her matchmaking agency in search of finding the...more

Another great read in this series.
I love the characters and the way the relationship between Lucy and Sean is developed throughout the series. It may have been love at first sight, but it's also based on spending time together, working out their various issues and learning about each other. You'll hope that these two stay together and nothing happens to separate them.
I also enjoy the mysteries as there are always two or three different puzzles to solve and while I figured this one out before Luc...more

My four-sentence or less take on the plot: Lucy Valentine works in her family's matchmaking office even though she doesn't possess the family ability to make matches through seeing auras. Lucy is able to find lost objects, which has led to a business reuniting lost loves. In this book, Lucy and her boyfriend Sean are hired to find a client's teenage love who may be a career criminal while also trying to solve a mystery of a man who disappeared while walking his dog. On top of all the other threa...more

The third installment of this delightful series did NOT disappoint! Between Lucy Valentine's friends, family, clients, Preston....well, let's just say there's plenty of drama to keep Lucy busy.

"The Lone Ranger" is still at it, tossing $20 bills around then disappearing. Then Lucy notices her mum is dressing and acting differently, making her wonder what's going on. Add in a missing man she's asked by her mum and Dovie to find, and a client searching for the boy she loved when she was in the fost...more

The Book 'Absolutely, Positively' by Heather Webber has the perfect title to answer if I enjoyed this book. Yes, I did, absolutely and positively. The book, in fact, surpassed my expectations, which with Ms. Webber as the Author, are high.

Lucy Valentine runs a division of a match-maker company that is co-partnered with a Private Eye company. Why? Because she finds lost loves with the aid of her expanding psychic powers. Which, by the way, I was given hints of throughout the book, making me want...more

Heather Webber's Lucy Valentine series has such heart. This book, Absolutely, Positively is no exception. If you haven't read the first two, Truly, Madly or Deeply, Desperately, you'll want to do that first.

Absolutely, Positively is the third book in the series. The gang's all back. Lucy has a new case that pushes her somewhat outside of her comfort zone – a woman comes into Lost Loves, Inc. wanting Lucy and Sean to reconnect her with her first love, a man whose last known address was the state...more

Who is that masked man? That’s the question on everyone’s mind around Boston Common when a mysterious stranger, dubbed The Lone Ranger, starts throwing twenty-dollar bills around. And what, if anything, does he have to do with everything else going on in Lucy’s life? A life that has left Lucy with a lot on her plate these days. She has Meaghan, the new client, who is looking for her foster brother, Tristan, convinced that he is the one true love of her life. Unfortunately it’s been years since s...more

Lucy Valentine has a lot of worries between her boyfriend's bad heart, her own fear of commitment, and her job finding lost loves. Soon she is mixed up in a mystery involving a lost love with a criminal career and a missing neighbor. Oh and a mysterious stranger literally throwing money around on the street.

There were 2 major mysteries and 1 minor going on in this book and, in the end, I had a bit of a Nancy Drew flashback because at least 2 out of 3 intersected in the end. It...more

There’s nothing like a book with a good mystery, smoking romance, and a satisfactory ending. With Absolutely, Positively, the reader gets all of that and more. I am really a fan of this series, and Webber didn’t lose any steam with the third installment.

I’m loving all that is the world and life of Lucy Valentine. Her parents are a riot, her grandmother a caring mess, and her man sensitive and sexy. Lucy is keeping busy by using her unique gift of finding lost objects to unite long lost loves. Bu...more

Absolutely, Positively, the third book in the Lucy Valentine series, is every bit as imaginative and enjoyable as its predecessors. Heather Webber has once again seamlessly intertwined the genres of paranormal romance and mystery into one intriguing tale.

In this installment Lucy, a psychic who specializes in reuniting lost loves, is working on a case that involves two former foster children who fell in love while placed in the same foster home. A wonderful subplot involving a missing man (who j...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the characters and the mystery of trying to figure things out. The new characters were great too. I liked the family relationships of the Valentines and the contagious 'Love Conquers All' attitude. I liked the helping and the getting to know Preston better. I liked the new 'doctor' that was introduced and hope she'll be in the next book as well. I'd like to know what she knows. This series is a keeper and so far I've enjoyed reading all three. I'm look...more

This book, and this series for that matter, are exactly what they seem. Short and sweet mystery novels. I adore these books, they have just the right balance of mystery, romance, and whimsy. I do believe this book delves a bit deeper into the main characters Lucy and Sean, both into them apart and as a couple.

I think the plot in this book was expertly weaved, even if I predicted the ending in the opening scene, it was still an excellent journey to take. I think that Ms. Webber should continue wr...more

What's not to like about the Lucy Valentine books. Likable characters, a little romance, secrets, humor and most importantly a well thought out mystery.

In this book Lucy has to do battle with an art thief and possible murder, missing pooch, her interfering grandmother who has a bad case of great-granny lust, insecurities about her love life, and a has-been rock'n roller. Will Lucy's gift of finding lost objects put everything to right and alleviate her relationship concerns with the mysterious a...more

I really liked the first 2 books in the Lucy Valentine series. This one was good and I did enjoy it , however, it was not the best in the series. Heather Webber is super cute and is very dedicated to her writing. You can find her everywhere! I never really read books like this but I won a copy of the first book Truly, Madly and was sold. Heather is on Facebook, Goodreads, and seems to pop up everywhere!! I really do enjoy her and I really liked this series.

This book was beautifully written, it was complete- I know that for the tittle and cover of the book you might think it's inside is all silly and girly and make you want to puke rainbows. The fact is that it's a mystery book with multiple cases to figure out, a comedy, a Family-Survival Guide, and then yes, you might want to puke rainbows with some really sappy romance too.. BUT IT'S AN APPLIABLE ROMANCE! These are NOT teenagers! The people in this book are actually capable of making a life on t...more

Lucy Valentine, who uses her psychic gift to reunite lost loves, faces several problems. Her grandmother has asked her to find a friend, an illustrator who mysteriously disappeared. Her friend journalist Prescott is searching for a masked man who gives away twenty dollar bills on the Boston Common. And Meaghan wants her to find the boy she loved years ago when she was a foster child, not knowing that he's now considered a criminal mastermind. Most of all, however, Lucy wants to know what memorie...more

The third book in the irresistible Lucy Valentine series takes Lucy one step further in her relationship with Sean and sees her gain more confidence in her ability to find lost loves. I really like the progression of growth in both Lucy and Sean and love the world that Webber has created at Valentine, Inc. It's funny, quirky and emotional without being over the top unbelievable.

Lucy has two new cases to work on plus her relationship with Sean is front and center. She's not sure if she's ready to...more

I really like the Lucy Valentine series. I love Lucy and her quirky family and friends. I also like that there is usually a lot going on and I find that the series can sometimes surprise me. Unfortunately, this installment did not surprise me. I figured out the mystery pretty early on. (view spoiler)[From the moment they started looking into Mac's disappearance, I figured out that he not only was the lone ranger, but also that he was probably disguising himself as the homeless man to evade anyon...more

I have been holding on to this Lucy Valentine novel for almost a year in hopes that Heather Webber would be writing more in the series. I adore this series and I just didn't want it to end. Now, with Perfectly Matched available electronically, and soon to be available in print, I finally felt comfortable starting Absolutely, Positively.

It was wonderful to revisit Lucy Valentine, but man, did she frustrate me this time through. Granted, I'm not in her shoes, but she sets too much store in perfect...more

(B+ or 4.5)

In Absolutely, Positively, Heather Webber again throws Lucy Valentine into quite a few different adventures. In this book, together with her sexy PI boyfriend Sean Donahue, she investigates one disappearance and one lost love. Of course, she's also curious about the identity of The Lone Ranger, a masked man who's throwing cash around -- literally -- across the Common. And, her personal life is further complicated by friends and changes in the family structure.

Webber took it up a notch...more

It's amazing how I fall a bit deeper in love with the world Webber created with each book I read. The characters, though quirky (some in a style that reminds me of the residents of Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls), are engaging and well-developed. The plot dances on the border between romantic comedy and mystery, providing enough light, flirtatious fun to make the book enjoyable while using suspense to push the story forward. It's also been a while since I enjoyed a narrator this much. She comes a...more

Third book and still going strong. Lucy, through Heather Webber's writing, continues to thrill me. I always worry about series that are focused on only one or two main people. Am I going to get sick of reading about them? Is the story going to start to repeat? Is the author going to be able to keep me interested for an extended amount of time? Is the story going to be drawn out when there seems to be no more story to tell? None of these thoughts have popped into my head so far with the Lucy book...more

The Lucy Valentine stories are just plain old fun. They're not serious or depressing or angst-y (well, not most of the time, anyway). They're the books to read when you want to smile and get warm-fuzzies.

That said, I didn't find it as enjoyable as the first two novels. There was something missing, and I didn't find myself chortling along as I read, or with a goofy smile on my face when I finished.

Lucy had a bit of angst going on in this one with her fear about Cupid's Curse. This is a recurring...more

I hate it when I can't think of a good reason when I've let a book I know I will enjoy sitting on my shelf for so long. Especially when it's a series book that I have enjoyed. Such is the case with Absolutely, Positively.

Thankfully, I was able to dive right into this book and be reminded about the characters I love. Lucy is so great when she's faced with the being in love. It's not something she's comfortable or familiar with. Her family is cursed after all. I love that Sean takes it all in str...more

Stuck somewhere between mystery & romance genres, we have Lucy Valentine. She's a psychic who can find lost items, and this gift takes her right into mysteries, danger, and adventure alongside her boyfriend (a private investigator).

While I really enjoy this writer's style, and I am still interested in where this series goes... the main character herself has become increasingly annoying. She's still obsessed with this idea of her family having a "love curse" against them. Never mind that she...more

The first two books in this series were wonderful and I'm happy to say that absolutely, positively is the same. Lucy retains her faith in love even in the face of impossible odds. Well, love for everyone except herself that is. Despite having a nearly perfect boyfriend, Lucy can't let go of her fear of Cupid's Curse. I think Lucy has grown in her relationship though and she can at least be happy in most of the moments even when she fears the future. Lucy has also grown as an investigator after w...more

In the 3rd installment of the Lucy Valentine series, by Heather Webber, we get to visit again with the usual cast of characters. Lucy's on-again-off-again parents, her newly discovered 1/2 brother (didn't know that, you better read #2), The Lone Ranger (not the TV show guy), Preston, and Sean (her love). We're also introduced to a new set of characters which liven up Lucy's already lively life. This time there's a notorious thief, an elderly man who disappears, a down and out rocker who is tryin...more

I love the Lucy Valentine series, and this wasn't a disappointment.

Same basic plot as the others - there's a lot of match-making, and a lot of mystery. This time around there's a missing old man, a young Robin Hood wannabe trying to reconnect with a lost love, and a strange masked person throwing money into the air every couple of days. In Lucy's personal life, she's trying to deal with her Cupid's Curse fears, helping friends get together, watching her married parents start to date again, and...more

Heather Webber grew up in a suburb of Boston, where she learned early on how to ride the T, skip rocks in the ocean, and root for the Red Sox. As a young mother, she tried her hand at writing novels and hasn’t looked back. These days she lives in southwestern Ohio with her high school sweetheart and their three children. She is currently hard at work on her next novel.

Heather also has a Facebook a...more
