I really enjoyed this book. Although I've learned a lot about the connection between diet and brain/mood/addiction health I was unaware how long we have known about it. there is a lot of great information in here and especially if you have children, please get them eating whole foods. It's the best gift you can give them.

Half way through this book as well. WOW! All I can say is WOW!!! So thankful a friend recommended this one. Having been recently diagnosed with a thryroid issue, this is pulling all the pieces of the puzzle together for me. Excllent read.

The subtitle says it all: "The Hidden Epidemic". I never thought of addiction as a hidden epidemic in our culture, but Pam really brings this to light. When she is talking about about addiction, she is not just just talking about drug or pharmaceutical addiction, but rather all addictions, including sugar, tv, video games, sex, etc. And if I am understanding her right, she believes that the underlying cause of it is hypoglycemia and/or depression. hum? really?
