This book has a bit of a struggle in the beginning, but stay with it. It is worth the read. I found myself liking the book more the further in I got. It is an interesting tale, and has me looking forward to the next book.
Lucien married Serenity only to have her flee the marriage after having consummated it, begrudgingly. She was terrified of marital relations and fled during the night. Lucien was dumbfounded, but let her go. Angry, he carried on with his life, and to his betterment. He and his b

Lucien and Serenity is the first installment in Brita Addams' Sapphire Club series. This highly erotic historical romance takes place in a BDSM club where pain and pleasure are explored by Lucien, Serenity and the club members.

Serenity and Lucien's whirlwind courtship culminated in a wedding a mere six months after their first meeting. Serenity fled from Lucien after their disastrous wedding night, and Lucien let his pride get in the way of going after her. Fast forward ten years and the couple

With her latest release Brita Addams introduces readers to the decadent delights offered by a man whose heart and sense of self was torn asunder on his wedding night. From that embarrassment came a club where all can embrace their desires without judgement. Just when he's compartmentalized his life to perfection his long lost wife returns to finally embrace her wifely duties. Her return is shrouded in secrets though, secrets that could get her killed. With their reunion already on shaky ground, ...more

“Serenity’s Dream” by Brita Addams:

Serenity Damrill has a secret, many secrets. The worst of which will come back and impale her life in a way she never would have imagined. Finding her way back to her estranged husband brings Serenity smack in the middle of The Sapphire Club; a unique establishment, which caters to peoples’ deepest, most intimate, different, sexual fantasies.
Owned by her husband, the club caters to the town’s elite who are willing to pay anything to have their exclusive “needs”

I have to say WOW first and second this is a XXXXXXXXXXXXXX rated book!

I won an Ebook copy of this and I have to say WOW um... yeah! I've read erotica before, but this may have crossed over for me. I don't think I had been prepared for what I was reading and even though I knew it was an Erotica Romance, I was not ready for some of the acts that I read.

I am not a shy person, but have not read anything quite like this, even in some of the other erotica's I have read. Maybe it was that I had a bad

I have to mention that I read only the first 30-something pages of this book, and my current review is based on this beginning. I will most likely not finished it, as time is precious and there are tons of better books out there.

Am I reading the same book as the other reviewers? Because this novel starts with a huge editing mistake: "It being Thursday, he'd just finished his usual session with Lady Amelie Foxworth." This is not somewhere buried deep in the book which I can forgive - it's within
I find that I'm in one of those ruts where I keep picking up books that should appeal to me on many levels but that somehow keep falling short. In this case, we have BDSM elements (which I thoroughly enjoy) set in a historical setting. I like historical romances. I like books about spanking. So, what went wrong here?

One of the biggest issues for me was that I felt like there was a lot of repetition in the internal musings of the characters. Whole passages were dedicated to how Serenity was findi

Serenity goes to her wedding night so abysmally misinformed, thanks to her extremely prudish mother, that it is a humiliating torment that she can’t stand to have repeated. She runs away from her equally misinformed husband. Ten years and a lot of experience for both of them pass and they meet again a the sex club Lucien owns and where the BDSM lifestyle Serenity now craves can be indulged.
A terrible death haunts Serenity and people that Lucien should be able to trust are involved. Can Serenity

Although Serenity's Dream is an historical romance, it gives insight into the BDSM lifestyle that I think rings true today. The motivations and responses to enjoying BDSM I thought were quite accurate. The details and intensity of the scenes were captivating. And all of it was woven with a budding romance that began for the wrong reasons, as many romances do, and resulted in a HEA ending. I had to chuckle over the name Marjorie for one of the maids. When I read one of the other characters was La ...more

I've finished reading "Serenity's Dream" and I must say that I enjoyed reading it.
Historical romance is not something that I read often, nor is historical erotica, but i quite enjoyed reading and, based on movies reenacting the era, imagining all that atmosphere and the way that Serenity and Lucien interact with each other.
In one side all the moral codes, etiquette and whatnot and on the other, the primal search for pleasure, being it moral or not, within the marital bed or not. It's quite the
Phew! A hot read.
I very much enjoyed Serenity's Dream. There is a strong Alpha male, give and take trust issues and a true-feeling submission to self-discovery. I do enjoy when characters have emotions that are believable; When the story is beyond just the erotic, not straight up porn (unless of course that is what I am looking to read LOL). I am looking forward to books 2 & 3 :)

I enjoyed Serenity's Dream a lot! Alpha males always make the story, I liked how the characters have emotions that are realistic. It makes the intensity grow. The story is beyond the erotic, it's a different look to romance books. Can't wait for books 2 & 3 :)

Serenity's Dream was a fascinating tale! The heroine was very easy to relate to, and the hero was sexier than sin. This is a book I'll be reading again, and I'm jumping on the other two now.
