The Bible and Epistemology got me in trouble. The concept of searching scripture for a philosophy of knowing rather than a natural philosophy or “pure” logic was something about which I was initially skeptical and later, enthusiastic. Indeed, I was so enthusiastic that I tried to find metaphors and illustrations to reduce the teachings of many scriptural passages into a few basic concepts.
