The heroine Madeline has tracked down the hero Riley, wanting to see if he is doing well. Riley is the man who received her late fiancé's heart donation after a tragic accident, something that Madeline has never quite gotten over. Although she had only planned to see from a distance that he OK, she ends up needing to meet him. I thought the story idea was interesting and different. She finds the man, Riley, who has been donated her late fiance's heart. The story takes place in Northern Michigan--although exact location is a little confusing. Story starts off in Sleeping Bear Dunes, which are actually located in the Lower Peninsula near Traverse City and near Lake Michigan, but then there are references to the U.P, and being a native Michigander myself, I was a little thrown off by the location references.
