Really 4.35

Okay - if you loved Twilight - you will love this because it is so similar.

It is a great story. A lot like Twilight and I am not one of those people that compare everything to Twilight. I am the opposite. Just because a book is supernatural with teenagers that are in love does not make Twilight. Stephenie Meyer did not trademark supernatural teen romance. With that being said the story is similar:

-Robert is beautiful, perfect, angel.

-Grace a very homely, if not down right...more

An amazing sequel to an amazing series!I love this series and if you haven't read it then you need to ask yourselves why-the-hell-not?
It was so much more captivating than the first one- not that I loved it any more. I love all of the books in this series equally.
There was no pause in this series, what do I mean by that?
Well there was non-stop action, there was always something happening, and always a problem or an issue that needed reolving.
I love Lark. She may come across cold every once in a...more

As expected... more secrets, more lies and lots more revelations. This time, i tried my best to like the heroine but darrnn, she really made it hard. I can't count the number of times the word "normal" was mentioned in the book. Grace wants a normal life etc etc but hey, date an angel wudja..and be bestfriends with another angel. I always cringe when she calls herself a freak. LOL, I dunno if it's just me or is Grace's character meant to be selfish at times? like everything's about her. I was ev...more

I have been reading the Falling from Grace series by S.L. Naeole for the past two days (Book 1: Falling from Grace; Book 2: Bird Song). It has been incredibly difficult to put it down for any reason. Grace is the epitome of someone who is different due to her inherently good personality traits. She is loyal, compassionate, and forgiving. All of these traits aren’t common in a high school senior. Although, she does have her flawed moments, which makes her character more believable. She hates bein...more

For anyone who knows me. There is no denying I am a huge fan of Angels. I find myself searching for books about Angels quite often. I am pleased to have stumbled onto this series earlier this year. My only complaint is that I waited too long to read it.

Thus far this is a beautifully written story. Although the author can be a bit wordy, for my liking, when describing things I am really enjoying myself. The characters are very real in the sense that they are down to earth. The writing has been s...more

Hmmmm.... How do I start??? Ok, I'm just gonna say that Bird Song is a stepping stone on the road to finishing the Grace series. I will admit that Falling from Grace was alot better. I guess I just have an issue about this Big Bad Thing that Robert has been keeping from Grace. I mean its NOT as awful as Grace makes it to be, & to me she is acting like a crybaby over something like that. Hello your boyfriend/soul-mate/love-of-your-life continued to date your Sworn Enemy and hid that from you...more

This series is amazing. sooooooooo amazing. It's so different from Twilight. If you think about it, the two inseperable couple, Bella and Edward, always had a...problem. Whether it was Edward leaving, or Jacob coming between them, they weren't just living in the moment! They were always like, "Well, since you're a vampire and I'm human, that means that we can't just love each other. Okay doky??" Egh. Don't get me wrong, twilight series was amazing and one of the best series I've ever read, but i...more

My wish came true for Stacy n Graham to date, but it's only short. Their chemistry continues and remains my fav couple over Grace n Robert which seem boring. Would have been nice to meet more of Stacy's family but we only got a glimpse of them. I'm definitely intrigued to read future installments to learn more of Grace's mum, her strange honeycomb wounds, and heritage yet to be revealed if any.

Bird Song keeps me reading chapter after chapter, yet it lacks energy compared to Twilight, Vampire Aca...more

There was some good stuff in BIRD SONG (Grace #2) with a couple of little supernatural twist that I didn’t see coming, but I can’t deny I was pretty disappointed with this second book. Too much of the “real” stuff (the human world stuff) was not believable to me and there was way too much of the dramatics for my taste… especially at the end. After all that had gone down in FALLING FROM GRACE and BIRD SONG up to this point, that is what is so devastating to Grace?.. really?? That confession is...more

Remind me why I wanted to read a 1000 page book about how much this Angel loves this girl? I don't think we were told enough on every page.

I really don't know what kind of rating to give to this book. It had a bad ending and since it was a cliffhanger it loses points. I knew it was going to have a bad ending because well....I'm a bad llama. I tend to read the excerpts of the other books before reading a series. Yeah I'm a baaaaad llama.

I think I'm more disappointed than mad. Did I want to throw this across the room? Wait for it....NO I DID NOT! Surprised? Yeah, me too.

In all honesty the ending was the worst part for me. I was exp...more

I haven't read this book and I refuse to read it.
I don't care, the world may end, I will never read this book. Ever.
I mean:

And Robert's refusal to take their relationship past the chaste and brotherly kisses they've shared has made Grace question his attraction to her.

Can you really judge me?!
Come on!
This is ridiculous!

Ugh, I will stop here because probably S.L. Naeole is a great person and I know that writing a book isn't exactly easy.

But... I mean, seriously?!
Okay, okay, I will stop now.

Bird Song is an amazing sequel to Falling from Grace. Just as Grace thinks her life is finally falling into place, she is thrust into a world of surprises as her life seems to unravel before her. Things aren't always what they seem, and Grace is soon realizing that every turn of events is a catalyst to what is yet to come.
In Bird Song, we get to see the characters once again develop as they each compliment Grace and bring a piece of her story to the forefront.
This series has completly drawn me...more

Grace and Robert's love story continues in the sequel to Falling From Grace. So much more happens in this book, but I have to admit, I got a little confused with the talk of vampires, fairy-like creatures and the possibility of immortality for Grace. I still think she is something more than what is revealed thus far.

Even though I know Robert loves Grace and is trying to be the perfect angelic gentleman, it bugs me that their passion is so restrained. Give a little is all I'm saying. :)

As for Lar...more

I actually sweated during parts of this book. I can't believe how incredible the writer made a human in a fantasical mythical world seem nothing but awesome and inpiring. Too many writers let human characters who are supposed to drive the damn story to heaven and beyond with awesome feats of human bravery and autruism (sp probably sry) straight to hell with their less than stellor whining and lack luster character. Not Grace; Grace is not kick ass but never the less her will and character plays...more

The thing about this book is that it takes to long to get to the point or "action." I enjoy the charcters in the book but I found my self skipping pages because nothing was really going on. In the end it gets better because that is when everything happens, Grace finds out who ran her over, what Robert kept from her, if Lark and Graham hook up and so forth. But It just to takes to loooooong to get to that point. Which is what made the book just ok to me, I do love the characters though.

I tried really hard to get into this book after I read the first one I figured it had to go up from there I was wrong. It feels like a cross between twilight and hush hush. The author in my opinion took to much time to explain every little detail of every thought and scene that after a while I just couldn't take it anymore. This book had great ratings and some very promising reviews which is why I gave it a try. I was very disappointed.

It's funny because I couldn't really get into this book until I took a few days break and read another 2 books. Then I was really able to get into this book and very much enjoyed it and glad I had bought it.

What I like about this series so far is that it seems really long, but not long as in TOO LONG get to the point. It's just a very long drawn out story where you get to learn more about the characters you are reading about.

Hinted at plot twists and drama that could keep me from setting my Nook down even while at work ... In love with the strength that Grace was finding while growing in her friendships and facing all the craziness that keeps getting thrown at her and Robert ... The more of the Grace series I read the harder it gets to stop reading
Laura Sims
I really liked these books they are long and drawn out which keeps you interested but have alot of information that just keeps you bored at times. I loved the actual plot and was somewhat disappointing at the ending as I would have liked for it to go on into the lives of Grace and Robert and their expectant child.

Its fairly easy to say that this author has an amazing talent in descriptive writting. I think its great how well written the book is and how it literally keeps you wanting more. The scenes in the book are described so well you would swear you are there. A series I would absolutely recommened to anyone. Well done

Just as with the first book...I read this book in one sitting. I love this book!

All of the characters are so real and you feel and experience everything right along with them. It's rare that a sequel is as good as the first...but this book definitely is...I can wait for book 3!!

Ok I still have the same issue with this one as the last one. It is just taking too long to get to a bigger important plot. I can feel something coming and things I hope will happen just to give the series more purpose. In general I like the story so once the BIG point comes out I think I will be good to go and will like the series as a whole a lot more than the book on their own. :)

This series is beyond awesome! S.L. Naeole is a wonderful author. I totally recommend this series because it gives you so many emotions. It is very easy to bond with the characters. I am so in love with Robert! Good thing he reminds me of my husband!

I loved the first, I read this one mostly because I still want to know "what" Grace is, how she keeps surviving and is so special. BUT I found a good part of this book kind of slow-moving. The end was fascinating, can't wait for the next.

Lots of relationship drama. Kinda gets annoying.

I believe Grace is over dramatic when Robert tells her the truth i didn't feel like he was revealing anything too outrageous for her to act completely destroyed but whatever.

Wondering what happens next....

S.L. Naeole has always loved the smell of books, the feel of books, and the destination that a book is guaranteed to take you. She knew from an early age that she was meant to write, to create those very same books she loved so much and vowed that one day, she would.

Now, after getting married and starting a family, she has finally made her dream come true. As the author of Falling From Grace, she'...more
