Dean..oh, my goodness Dean... Now that is what I am talking about! The guy is all male.. It takes a lot of courage to accept that your mate is pregnant with another man's baby and to still do everything in your power to win her all over again. If I did not liked Creigh so much I would have studnapped the guy already.
Happily Even After is ridiculous, annoying, unbelievable, cheesy, way too strange book and a person cannot help but love every sentence of it.

Where can I find a man like Dean?! Creigh was crazy to let him go in the first place!

Okay, I thought that not knowing why they divorced in the first place was one thing that got to me. From what I read she initiated the actions for him to leave. They separated then she served him with papers. I loved the fact that finally there was a book that the male character was honest and knew what he wanted from the beginning. It seemed that from the first page he wanted her back. Then once you read that

OMGOODNESS!!! I just finished this book. It was beyond excellent! Dean & Creigh, and their love is the stuff of legends. Every woman worth her salt would want a man like Dean in her life. Dean is like the best father to walk the earth since God in the Flesh as Jesus! Okay that's a bit far but you get my point. I really do not want to give anything away about this short incrediable story, so please just read it. I promise you will not be sorry you did.

Every one in this was very well written.
For those who still think an interracial romance, in order to be realistic has to beat you over the head with the "OMG, we're different and no one will accept us" plot, I give you Exhibit A, Happily Even After. No handwringing social treatise. It's a sweet and erotic love story (yes New York, it's possible) of second chances between two people who realize they're far better together than apart. And the cover is just so amazing! It's total art.

Creigh and Dean belong together. In spite of a divor

Wow! This book saved my life. . . I was up all night with a sick kidlet and reading this story made it a lot less stressful. . .

Honestly. . .I cried through a lot of this book. . . It really dragged the emotion out of me and I wanted a HEA for them like crazy!! And the sex between them. . . Wooo, baby. . . So hot. . . This was just an amazing read. I enjoyed it from the first page to the last and I read it in one night because I didn't want to put it down. I can't give higher praise than that!!
An absolutely beautiful novel that is unusual in so many ways. We often read about "friendly" divorces, or amicable partings, or messy divorces, or "fight-to-the-death" divorces that go in and out of court for years afterward, but this novel is about an inter-racial couple who were best pals since elementary school, lovers and spouses since shortly after high school, and now divorced parents of two beautiful kids, both parents knowing that the divorce was a terrible mistake but neither one knowi ...more
4.5 stars.

I loved this book. It was a very emotional and emotionally satisfying book about two people who are in love but messed up a bit. Not only a love story, this book is a bit of an homage to men who are great fathers.

Dean De Luca and his ex-wife Creigh have been miserably divorced for a year. Their marriage de-railed somehow, somewhere along the way, but even a year later Dean is still feeling a little deer-in-the-headlights about it. He didn't want the divorce, he is in love with his wif
5 Amazing Stars!!!

A MUST read!!!! I went on Ebay just so i can have this book on paperback as well since I could not find it in any books stores!!! A MUST have for anyone who love Erotic Romance, Second chances and true love :)
Another favorite this year. From the start, Creigh's desperation over her situation made me empathize with her. She was bringing a life into the world and she had nobody to help her. She just got a divorce and her family was torn apart. Having to explain her unplanned pregnancy to her ex-husband was not only infuriating because of his anger, but embarrassing as well. Although the situation was uncomfortable and brought conflict to her already fractured family life, her ex, Dean was right there f ...more

I LOVED this book for 2 reasons. The story and the way Ms. Matthews portrays a bi-racial family.

Story - Dean and Criegh, recently divorced, have 2 kids. They both still love each other, there was a lot of hurt and confusion surrounding the divorce. Neither has been willing to take the first step towards reconcilliation. Since the divorce they have both dated others, some things have happened that makes Dean take that first step. I LOVE the interaction between Dean, Creigh their kids and their fa

I can't say enough good things about this book! Ms. Matthews took an unconventional, awkward situation and made it work. Dean was a wonderful man any woman could easily fall in love with. He's the kind of man who will spoil you for other men.

The story itself was well-spun, and I enjoyed the children as well as the other secondary characters. Dean and Creigh managed to make it through a very difficult situation, and the author did an excellent job of making a believable stor
What a fabulous story of love and second chances!! I am so glad this book was recommended to me by one of my wonderful GR friends, I absolutely loved it!!

Even though Creigh and Dean have been divorced for a year, neither have stopped loving the other. When Creigh ends up pregnant from a one night stand, with a man who has no interest in being a father, Dean knows that with his family is exactly where he belongs. This story of forgiveness and love just wrenched my heart at times and made me laugh

I loved this book! Dean was a brand of man I can get behind. Strong, loving and good. Dean loved Creigh no matter what. No matter if she's pregnant with another man's baby. Any baby of Creigh's is his as far as he's concerned. And the pregnant sex was hot. I loved that he wanted to see every inch of her blossoming body and only want her more for it. Great book!

Loved it. It was sweet and incredibly hot.
Okay I have to begin this review with the fact that I was told "not" to read this book. I didnt understand why exactly. Nor would the associate tell me why I shouldn't read it. I read it anyways. This isn't some sweeping romance where the woman is some wilting flower lol. Yes, there are some sex scenes that will make you blink a bit so what? I have read some really raunchy sex scenes before and the ones in this book are quite tame.
SO when I finally got a straight answer out of the person who tol

This was the first book I bought on my new kindle I was sooo excited... I had read a sample of this story
before I bought and thought is would be great read. The book started off really good. I liked that it was something
different to read, with them being a divorced couple who still have the hots for each other and are obviously still in love.

In the beginning I liked it they seem to have had a steamy relationship in the past before they divorced and the kids were
adorable and well brought up by

You can't fight love, can you?!? I think not! Love comes fast and hard for this couple the second time around. In Happily Even After

After two kids and a divorce Creigh DeLuca did not foresee her self ending up pregnant again let alone from a one night stand. But she is. Now she has to break the news to her ex-husband Dean whom she is still in love with and their kids. D
If you can overlook the horribly cheesy cover, this was a sweet little read.

Dean and Creigh are divorced, but are still secretly in love with each other. The book begins with Creigh telling Dean that she is pregnant from a one night stand and, in spite of his obvious shock, he immediately steps up to be a support to her, and to their two children. The news also provides him with the impetus he needs to do something about his feelings, get off his ass and get his family back.

And the way he went

Wow, I'm not attacking u just pointing out a short coming of urs. Just like u every one is entitled to their opinions. In this day and age for a person to say, type, blog, FB or GoodReads about not liking books about interracial couples is just like 'WOW'. I've always been a believer that not everyone in this beautiful world is pure breed. Italians aren't white, Asians aren't Chinese and not all Blacks jumped off the Mother Ship. However we are all HUMANS one race under God with liberty
Based on the cover I thought this book was going to be a nice love story between a interracial couple, which it was a love story, however, it was too erotic and sexually explicit scenes, some BDSM, that was unexpected to me. Dean's love for Creigh was very courageous for them to have divorced and still be so in love was interesting in itself, but for him to want to take on the love of someone else unborn child and love it as his own takes a strong man. The strange thing about it was that the man ...more
This is one where I feel like I was reading a totally different book than everyone else.

I really liked the concept, a divorced couple who are still in love struggling to rebuild their love after the wife finds herself pregnant by another man. A tear jerker for sure! Right? ... Except, not for me.

The writing style was decent and the characters had potential. ( an overprotective Italian alpha! Sounds good to me!) However, the author skips all the beef and stays mostly in the shallow end of the po
I really liked this book. The idea of it is really brilliant. Second chance love. I will be reading more from this author.
One of the best IR romances I've read. Very well written with great characters.
Loved this it was totally engaging and i had a hard time putting it down

Absolutely loved it!!! So moving and shocking! Well written Ms. Matthews!!
This was a GREAT read between two ordinary people who just happen to be in a biracial relationship. The H/h had a history dating back to their childhood and the reader was given just enough to understand that their relationship started out in friendship, which eventually became much more.

Dean was the middle brother in an Italian-American family who had eyes for Creigh, an African-American, since they were children. They had married young, had a couple of children and got caught in the daily rout

Description: Two kids and one divorce later, Creigh finds herself pregnant once again from a one night stand. As it turns out, her ex-husband, Dean, just might be her knight in shining armor.

The Good: I’m a sucker for situations I’ve never seen before, and I’ve never come across an IR romance in which the heroine is divorced, pregnant with another man’s baby, and falling back in love with her ex-husband. I weirdly loved all the pregnant hanky panky, and also liked that Matthews highlighted the r

Lena Matthews spends her days dreaming about handsome heroes and her nights with her own personal hero. Married to her college sweetheart, she is the proud mother of two children, three evil dogs, and a mess of ants that she can't seem to get rid of.

When not writing she can be found reading, watching movies, lifting up the cushions on the couch to look for batteries for the remote control and plot

“I was having a little vision problem.”
“Oh no.” Creigh leaned in closer to him and peered intently
into his eyes, as if her supermom powers could see right
through his corneas and to the issue at hand.
“What‟s wrong?”
“I couldn‟t see myself going to work today.”
“I’m just looking out for you.”
“You don’t have to.”
“It’s a hard habit to break.” Especially since he didn’t want to.”
