What I Loved: Wynn is a great guy! I love his devotion to Noelle, his sexiness, and his all around charm. He is funny and enduring. The is a "naughty" novella and in that aspect this book was HOT! It is definitely not for the faint of heart. Laura writes really good "naughty" scenes and she does not disappoint in this book.
What I Liked: The playfulness between Noelle and Wynn. They were very fun to read.

This is a hard book to review. For one thing, it's a novella and so only contains a few chapters but then I knew that when I ordered it and the price reflected that. That's not a criticism in any way. I'm just stating why I appeared to finish it so fast.

Laura Stamps' Rune Witch Trilogy gets a running start with Sex Magick. Noelle and Wynn are such an eclectic couple. I really enjoyed Sex Magick, it was the quick and fun read.

How did you people like this? Where was the story??? Plot anyone??? I blinked and it was over. Something like a ten minute short story read. There is an idea here for a great novel... now, hello, how about a little follow through?
It is only 2 bucks on kindle. I get that. But for 5 bucks I can get a 300 page novel like Magic Bleeds that can consume a whole day AND it has multiple plot lines running.

This is a nice short story. It's romantic yet, very hot. Noelle is a wild witch, who is nonconforming and commitment shy. (To say the least.) Wynn is her sexy shifter boyfriend. These two are really compatible and tend to burn up the sheets, shower and leave you in need of some ice water. The only thing that bugged me about the book was how it was written. Noelle and Wynn appeared in 2 books in Laura Stamps' Witchery series but I haven't started that series yet so this was my first introduction to the couple. Although I'm planning on reading The Witchery series I don't think it matters if you read The Rune Witch series before hand - I didn't feel like I was missing anything in this story because I've not met the couple before.

The biggest issue I had with this book was the 3rd person present tense. It was like being suspended in the moment, with no way of escaping. It was actually very uncomfortable for me as a reader, and I ended up skimming quite a bit because I couldn't handle it. Other than the tense and the mall scene (which I found confusing because I didn't know how it fit into the overall story), I think I likely would have enjoyed this book a lot more.

Noelle is a Rune Witch who we first meet in a previous series called the Witchery series. Wynn is her boyfriend and also a black cat shapeshifter. Wynn invites Noelle to practice sex magic, a chaos magic. I love how much detail the author puts into the spells and the characters. How they interact and feel about everything pulls me right into the middle of the scene.

My biggest problem with this book is that I really (REALLY) dislike 3rd person present tense. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past this and ended up skimming a good 50% of the book. I can say that the sex was nice, however.

I could not stop reading and when I turned the last page I literally screamed NO! I was literally flipping the pages back and forth begging for more! This is an awesome book and I highly recommend it!!
Cute short story about a Witch and Shapeshifter. The female MC is quite outspoken and snarky. The Male shapeshifter.. YUMMY. I look forward to more of these short installments
I absolutely loved her Characters. Noelle reminds me of the author her self. Cant wait to see what happens next.

This was a short read, however I felt that it was a bit lacking of a plot. There was a just bit of a storyline, but I just felt it was mostly sex, and yes it's called sex magick, but I could've done with a bit more magic. The characters were likeable though.
Writing didn't work for me very well...but it was ok.
Very sexy and the love scenes are delisciously wicked. Magic and the couple who obviously love the physical, add to this short tale. The story is definitely a good one.
