Okay, here we go. While I'm always honest in my reviews, the more astute of you may know that S.D. Hintz is one of my publishers...but that won't spare him the toasting I give every book I read. Blood Orchard is his first full-length debut novel.

This is the perfect book for you if you're really into stomach-turning, brain-peeling descriptions of rotting corpses, zombies flinging twisted torn bloody bits of flesh about (hitting live people in face and body) and murders that are gruesome beyond words...including some committed with medieval torture devices. At 25% and I'm struggling to stay with this one. There are the little things I try to overlook, like the laptop that can be interrupted and powered down by unplugging it, and the screwdriver that has gin instead of vodka, and the MC talking with his mouth gagged. Then there are the frustrating things like over-the-top characters.
