Yeah I don't want to hear it... I like reading trashy books.
So I have an embarrassing confession to make, and I hope this doesn't make people lose respect for me. =) I caught a rerun of Keeping Up With The Kardashians over the summer and.... somehow became hooked. So naturally, I read this book - and it was cute. Better than some other memoirs I've read this year, but not as good as others.

I know many people are going to judge me for this statement but you know what, I don't rightly care.
I actually enjoyed this book, it wasn't the most amazing book I have ever read nor was it worthy of winning any awards or anything but sometimes-just sometimes-writing isn't about getting awards, sometimes, it's just about sharing. (I hope you notice the sarcasm.)

This triple mini autobiography is in fact better than I expected. We see so much of these women on television and in magazines that I thought there wasn't much else to tell, but this book instantly blew that theory out of the water. Starting out "famous for being famous" and turning that into family and individual brands takes hard work, and creativity, which whether we like to admit it or not, is something these women have a lot of. Sexy, quirky, fun, flawed, and ultimately human, these women p...more
Ok. I like watching the Kardashians on T.V. so when I saw their book in a bin for $5 I thought I would see what it was about. Well you know that expression, "you get what you pay for"? Well it came through! I like it but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It has a few memories from their past but it mostly has beauty tips that you already know and things like their favorite color or movie and things like that. Basically it looks and reads like a teenage diary. The only parts I enjoyed...more
I loved this book! But it is probably a result of my love for the Kardashians. Even though many people might not take this book seriously i thought it was great. It really provided a lot of real life helpful advice for young girls, women, and men can benefit from this book. It is a tell all about their life, they talk about the death of their father, their family, their work ethic, and what it takes to be successful. Even though there are a lot of pictures in it they really help capture the girl...more
I really enjoyed the book. It gave insight on the how the girls grew up and the morals that were taught to them. It helps show that even though you can have money and be a celebrity the same moral principles still stand. It also shows the strong family bond the family shares and through the pictures you can really get a feel of this strong relationship. I think its also good that they write together but also indivdiually put their own perspectives and point of view on things and relate to specfi...more

In the story about the Kardashians, at one part Kris wanted to stay with her husband but he was the lawyer of the guy who murdered kris's friend so they got divorced (OJ Simpson trial). In this informational book about the kardashians, what the Kardashians suggest about the nature of family is that they always come first no matter what goes on in life. I would reccomend this book to anyone who is interested in the family/ watch keeping up with the kardashians, kourtney and khloe take miami and/o...more
I am so grateful I borrowed this book from the library rather than paying for it! It was boring. I couldn't even read most of it because it bored me so bad! I was very let down because I do enjoy the Kardashian's for their entertainment value! If you are considering reading it, I would pass on it. It is not even worth the time spent on reading the book. It is written on a first grade level, so it can be read in its entirety in about an hour, but I truly felt that hour was time that could have be...more
Oh, boy.
I think every single American (or the majority of the world, really) knows who Kim Kardashian is. She's pretty much everywhere considering the media tries to shove her name down our throats: There's news about her latest conquest, her sex tape, her reality show, her fashion line, her marriage, even what she freaking wears! And now that she's pregnant, there's at least one daily post about her progress. And she's not even that talented.
Sigh.

Ok, yes, I am a little embarrassed that I read a Kardashian book... especially one that is intended for teenage girls. And yes, I have also been known to watch their show. So now you know, but moving right along. In it, all three K sisters are doling out advise about life - from fashion and beauty to sex to selling and buying on ebay, as well as reminisce about their celebrity lives, past and present . I tried to read it from a point of view of a teen girl, and it really is an interesting book i...more
The thought behind this book was to get an inside look into the lives of the Kardashian sisters, a side of them no one has seen. But while reading through the book, I realized I already knew, or could easily assume, that was how they lived their lives. The only remotely personal chapter in the book was the one about there father which was touching but that emotion doesn't carry on throughout the rest of the book. The pictures were fun to look at, but all in all, this book was hardly interesting.
This book was just like the show; took no talent, and wasn’t anything that could be considered good, as far as books go, but it was super interesting and I couldn’t stop reading it. I was falling asleep in the book, but I could not put it down. The Kardashians are one of my (many) guilty pleasures, and this book was even better than the show in some ways.
If you love the Kardashians, and won’t be disgusted by slightly awful writing skills, this is a wonderful book for you.

I didn't think that this audiobook was for me but I listened to the sample before downloading it. It's nice to hear a little more well-thought expression and opinions from 3 women who sometimes make such fools of themselves on TV. I enjoyed their shared feelings and stories about their family, which is also very close to my heart. I think all who have big families and especially those with siblings can relate to this autobiographical look at these sisters who are in the spotlight.
I LOVE the Kardashians and I LOVED this book! People give them a lot a flack because they are in the spotlight, but they are actually Great Businesswomen and Entrepeneurs. Not only are the family oriented but they are human and go through difficult situations just like everyone else. Yes they have a lot of money but they work for it just like we do, noone should dislike them for that. Anyone who loves them should read this book or anyone who thinks negative of them.
This was a great book for any Kardashian fan, but it leaves much to the imagination. It basically has the same light, jovial feel that their reality tv show has. I did learn more about the sisters, but much of it has already been featured on their show. With that being said, it was a very light, quick and easy read - no need for processing. If my copy had been smaller (paperback instead of hardcover?) I would suggest it for a very fun beach read.
I am an admitted fan of the Kardashians. But this book was definitely just okay... it reads like it was written for teenagers, and is by no means a juicy tell-all.
It was neat to see their childhood pictures, and getting to hear a little bit about the OJ Simpson trial was interesting. But so much of the book came off (at least to me) as very superficial.
There are lots of good messages in it (work hard, love yourself, etc.), and it would probably make a great gift for your 16 year-old niece.

I am a huge Kardashian fan so typically I could not wait to get my hands on this. It was a very quick, light read. The writing style was very informal but it was interesting how alot of the book was written as conversations had between the sisters. There were also alot of pictures (most of which I have already seen online and on the kardashians blogs) but there were also some cute, fun things like letters and cards on eachother. I definitley suggest this book for Kardashian fans everywhere.
this book reads like a people magazine devoted entirely to the kardashians- and since I love both people magazine and the kardashians- I did enjoy the book. I didn't love it, though. There is nothing 'konfidential' about it. It's pretty much the same as watching one of their shows. I did find the chapter on OJ simpson interesting- but it was waaay too short! lots of pictures- dialogues between the sisters- etc.
I have to admit that I watch Keeping up with the Kardashians (guilty pleasure), but this book didn't add anything other than the lessons their dad taught them, which would fill about 1 page.
It would probably have been a lot better if they got a good narrator for the audiobook. Khloe was OK, and I'm sure Kim and Kourtney have talents but doing voice work isn't it.

I secretly love watching the Kardashian reality shows so I thought the book might be a quick and fun read. It was definitely quick, but it lacked substance. It was cute and funny, but the jumped from topic to topic and kept everything so surface level. I liked it and don't regret reading it, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone else unless they were bored and looking for an easy beach read.
I picked this book up at the library for fun. I like the Kardashian's, I think they're interesting and this book was just a fun light read. There were some interesting things that they talked about, the OJ Simpson Trial, how they got famous, all about their childhood. They also gave some fun quick tips that they swear by.
This is definitely not the type of book I would normally read. I prefer fiction. But I think I read this only out of curiosity. I'm not an avid follower of celebutants, especially not Kim K. I do like Khloe however so I guess I read this to see what is interesting in this book. It's OK but its a miss...
