Molly McGrann's debut novel is a clear-eyed portrait of hopes, dreams and skateboarding in American suburbia. Atomic View was a 1960s fantasy - a vision of the suburban American Dream. Recommends it for: anyone
This is the debut novel from Molly McGrann. I liked her writing style from the start - beautifully constructed descriptions. About 50 pages into the book, I decided she was also good at writing a novel.

Roughly, this is the story of a group of interconnected subdivision neighbors and the contrast between the idealised American Dream and what they truly want and have.

I'm looking forward to reading her next book: Exurbia.
McGrann's characters are always a bit desperate, which is not always my bag. But the story was interesting enough that i read it all the way through...
