I came across this book and several other Harlequin Intrigues at a yard sale the summer of 2003. The covers caught my eye.

Julie Miller's Kansas City's Bravest brought me out of a several year reading slump. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It also introduced me to the Harlequin Intrigue series.

Really quite charming. A great opener that sucked you in. Even though it was a little predictable there were some twists and turns that were a little surprising. I loved it and wept a little bit at the end!
