~"Do you want me to save you?"~

Am I the only one thinking, that if this was a TV drama it would be awesome?
This was a very cute and amusing introduction manga for a new series! Maki Enjouji started has this set up to be a great story, from what I can tell so far by this first book.

Chiwa is our main character for the story. A young woman, struggling to keep herself and her father from being utterly destitute. She is working two jobs just to try and manage things. Her co-workers tease her for lack of boyfriend and social life. So right away I was able to feel for her and wanted to jump in and tell the
I came across this in my local bookstore and I have to say, it's one of those rare mangas that I'd suggest buying from volume one. Normally I'd suggest waiting until volume two before plunking down the cash for a semi-long running series (this spans 10 volumes), but I was highly impressed by what Happy Marriage had to offer?

What does it have to offer? Well, for one thing it brings us both traditional "will they, won't they" dynamics as well as a few fresh twists to the table. Granted, for some t
I've been really into confident, strong, take charge female lead characters recently, so perhaps my review reflects that preference. I was looking forward to reading this series because reviews praised it for being realistic. I didn't find it as realistic as I had hoped, though I'll admit that I've never been married.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a manga focusing on the relationship of marriage. I like the art but am bothered by how the husband treats his wife and how often the wife allows her
I loved this!

First it's a josei, so I didn't really want to read it, plus it's about marriage. Even if I'm old enough, I don't exactly want to read about marriage. But I read it anyway, because I was bored, and it sounded good. Turns out, I was pleasantly surprised!

This is not just josei, but also a little bit of shoujo as well, dealing with shoujo themes. It's also fun and enjoyable, and I love the scenes where she works out heaps, not for husband but to show off to the ex-boyfriend who'll be a

I really enjoyed this...alot more than even I thought I would. It's similar to mangas I have read before, but it still manages to differentiate itself from those.
Chiwa Takanashi is a normal girl with a couple problems. She can't seem to find and keep a boyfriend, nor does she have time for that. Chiwa is having to work 2 jobs to help pay off her father's 6-figure debt.
Chiwa is presently an OL (office lady) and a hostess. The other OLs make fun of her constantly, and her boss from h

1. Do you like rich guys?

2. Do you like girls who are forced to marry the rich guy kind of stories?

3. Do you like romances that start out with the two hating each other but then they slowly begin to like each other?

4. Do you not care that there are tons of stories like this out there?

Superb ni manga! **bikin review sambil nunggu folder kebuka**

Chiwa Takanashi, cewe miskin dan musti kerja keras kr bapaknya punya utang banyak tiba2 ditawarin buat merit sama presdir tempat die bekerja Hokuto Mamiya, sama kakeknya Hakuto.

Happy Marriage?! Vol. 1

Chiwa Takanashi is in an odd predicament. At age 22, she works two jobs to support her unemployed and clueless father. She has little to no experience with men outside of her night job as a hostess. You can imagine her surprise when the chairman of the company she works for during the day asks her to marry his grandson, the president. The proposal came from the chairman, a way for him to pay back Chi

This series is really cute with some sprinkles of funny! It has similar themes to others, but it's fine. It's very enjoyable. A workaholic girl marries a rich man to fullfill a muturally beneficial agreement. Hilarity ensues as the two try to grow closer to eachother. While the tough spots were easy to spot, it had just enough of a twist (or at the very least enough of a mixture to what has been done before) that it remained cute.
I haven't read a manga I enjoyed this much in a long time! In fact I think this is one of the best examples of "you have to marry me to get yourself out of debt, but I want to wait until you want to have sex with me before it happens". At no point does he push himself on her and he is quiet respectful of her boundaries. Lovely to see
I actually read English translations of this manga series online...and really am enjoying it. I love the awkward yet genuine relationship that develops between the main characters. I wasn't even turned off by how "weepy" Chiwa tends to be. I'll continue following this series for sure...

Ettől függetlenül most is imádom, a műfaja legjobbja.

Mon avis complet ici :

Ahh…this was so good! I’m a sucker for pretty artwork and a cute love story. I don’t even care about how cliché the whole ‘arranged marriage’ thing is because I’ll never get tired of it. The set-up just lends itself so well to crazy situations and interactions. I loved the part where Chiwa (view spoiler). The way it was drawn was perfect! The look on both their facings had me crack ...more

I was really excited for this to come out. I’ve read a couple other Enjoji titles and really enjoyed them, although I don’t think I got to this one. I really enjoy Enjoji’s characters and art and humor. This has been compared to Butterflies, Flowers, one of Shojo Beat’s earlier josei titles, and I can see the similarities particularly because they’re both work romances (as is their other josei title currently being released, Midnight Secretary). This is my first Josei manga and I’m so happy about that. This series was funny, serious, and quite realistic in a lot of ways. I really enjoyed it. There were times where I found myself laughing out loud or talking to myself . I love the art work. There's something about it that's fits my tastes perfectly. The pa

Happy Marriage (originally titled Hapi Mari in Japanese) is a mature (typically called 'Josei' - aimed at women) and comedic series about the life of Chiwa and Hokuto - an OL (office lady) and her boss and the arranged marriage circumstance they find themselves in.

The series ends at 10 volumes (40 chapters). This volume 1 covers the first 4 chapters of the story, giving us the foundation for the story to come. Although th

This series was recommended to me by someone on MangaUpdates, I think, when I asked for "classic" Josei.

I'll copypaste the following part to all my reviews of this manga, because my main point of critic remains the same: It's annoyingly sexist, to the point where the male MC tells the heroine to shut up or else he rapes her. It was said jokingly, while they were both lying in bed, but seriously, while there are most certainly a lot of words to express what I think of it, I decide to just keep it

A story between two incompatible people who were forced to marry each other because of reasons. And you know what sucks? Yep, he is the president of the company she’s working in. Will this marriage last long or will they continue to bite each other’s necks and end this marriage?

STORY 8/10

I really don’t know what to say about this. When I read it last year it was still on-going so I left it in my to-read bucket list. Then recently, I checked on it and saw that it’s complete. I have this habit of

Goshhh.. dah kenapa aku review dalam bahasa ni? hahaha

Okayy, abaikan semuanya.

Comel! Suka sangat dengan couple ni. Hanya kerana keluarga, mereka berdua disatukan. So, what will happen?

Okayy, next Vol. hoho~~
It's starting off as a cute series. I will get volume 2 when I can to see how it continues. The only thing that really annoys me is how much Chiwa opposes being with her husband and the hard time she constantly gives him. Especially after his grandfather and himself bailed her out from a hard time, and he is actually trying to make their "marriage" work. If that continues it will really annoy me. So hopefully in the next volume, Chiwa calms down a bit on that factor. =D

Very nice

I used to read manga all the time in high school and still have my collection. I quit reading it because it didn't grab my interest any more or I couldn't find the right one. this was nice. It is nice to read something about adults instead of teenagers. I've been wanting something like this for a while. I recommend it.
I really liked this manga. I think it was beter than the last two I read. Maybe because it had more plot instead of just silly things and Hokuto's assistant, Somua, is so hilarious. I was laughing all the time. *Sigh* I really should be reading Ignite Me but, I guess, this has become my guilty pleasure.

It's really good. Funny , witty and what I like about it is that it has a lot of realistic situations and storyline something to expect from Josei of course <3 I like that it doesn't make anyone change completely but it shows to love someone for who they are with their flaws.
