I am pretty impressed with this. I was half afraid it was going to be a cheesy suspense with ridiculous bossom heaving sex, but it turned out to be a pretty good story. I can't say I was on the edge of my seat, but I was entertained.

I've gotten used to getting amazing books from Carina Press, and CRIMINAL INSTINCT didn't disappoint. The story hooked me from the first page. The author's style is fluid, her voice bold and edgy, her characters engaging and likable, even when they're not doing very nice things. And that's exactly the appeal of this book. Criminal Instinct is a great romantic suspense new release from Kelly Lynn Parra. Ana is a convicted felon, and is given the option of serving jail time, or spending five years as an undercover agent on the harsh streets of San Francisco. Needless to say Ana chooses her freedom, and is stuck working on a team with other convicted felons, and a boss that is a total hard ass.
