Victoria Melendez wrote: "Again is an amazing book that brings empowerment to all women! I read this when I was going through some really tough times and it brought me so much strength when I needed it the most. I could not put the book down. It gave me hope that my true love was really out there somewhere in this great big world! I read it TWICE! A must read for all women! You will want to read it AGAIN...and AGAIN!"

I found "Again" to be an enjoyable read. It held my interest and with the 2 stories running parallel, made it one where I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what happened next in both "worlds".

Eryn's story takes place in the present. She struggles to work for her marriage and yet has a nagging feeling that something (or should I say someone) else is out there waiting for her. It all started with a dream, and yet, to consider a love so powerful that it would carry through time... could it be...more

Having never been a fan of novels that jump back and forth in time, I wasn’t too sure what to think about this novel from the synopsis. That said, Murdock took a bit of an off-kilter topic and wove it into a brilliant tale of love triumphing through the ages.

The novel itself jumps back and forth between the turn of the 16th century and the present day. Even with all of this time travel on the part of the reader, we experience two separate stories with very distinct correlations. The separation...more

I found the modern day parts of this book very boring at first (which is more a matter of my personal taste than the writing). The story, to me, got good in the second chapter, when the book went back in time. Lady Catherine and Jonathan are great characters and the writing really seemed to go up a notch at that point.

But I stopped reading at about chapter fifteen because I was so upset by all the choices that the characters made. This story seems to be about how a bunch of naive people learn w...more

Lady Catherine is a noblewoman in the 1500s. Though promised to a valiant knight who has loved and served her for years, a chance meeting with a handsome merchant sends her on a whirlwind journey of passion she never knew she could experience. Jonathan makes her feel alive, but it can never be between them, for she has a duty to uphold, and there are those who will do anything to keep them apart.

Eryn Rexford is a photographer, married to a wealthy and handsome businessman, and living the life mo...more

I read this book in order to give a review for the Author via Goodreads.

I don't want to give away too much of the contents, but the book follows the story of two women both living in different times periods.

Lady Catherine a Medieval Noblewoman, destined to marry a man she has grown up with and sees more as her brother. Her heart belongs to another....

Eryn Rexford a modern day woman married to a man who has become more of a habit than a loving husband. She is having recurring dreams about anothe...more

I'm not going to give an overview in this review of what the story entails, like you would find in other reviews. I'm going to tell you, from my perspective, what I thought of the story, its characters, and the overall effect on the reader.

The story was very well researched. From my perspective, I feel like the author had her own experience with a past life that drove the writing of this book, because she accurately depicted events similar to what I have experienced for myself and others have re...more

Two love stories rolled into one, showing how a life of despair from not following your heart can be carried through into your next life.

I loved how Murdock intertwined two storylines so well without ever actually merging them. This tricky tactic was pulled off seemingly effortlessly. The skill to constantly create the double effect showed what a class act Diana Murdock is.

The stories show a great contrast: a contrast in the way relationships work in different time periods; the way in which fol...more

What an epic romance! Captivating, beautifully written, imaginative, seductive, passionate, creative and thought provoking, ‘Again’ is a story of true love. Diana Murdock has the most beautiful writing style which just sucks you into the world of her characters.
I fell absolutely and utterly in love with Jonathan and cried for both Lady Catherine and Eryn. It is probably not polite to express my thoughts about Bryce, so I won’t, but suffice to say he wasn’t my favourite character. For most of the...more

This book is an ideal representation of the modern romance, and the struggle between marriage and passion. As a woman of two worlds, Eryn also as Catherine struggles to decide between the man she believes she has to marry and the passion she wants to feel. This book could use some more polishing, the descriptions did not flow as well as they should and many of the events in both worlds were very similar. I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster ride of a redemptive tragic romance; I usual...more

I found AGAIN by Diana Murdock to be a wonderful romantic tale of one soul living two lives hundreds of years apart.

The author has skillfully woven the story of two women searching for true love and fulfillment.
Lady Catherine and Eryn have men in their lives but their on true love only finds them after they are in relationships. Will their true love find a way?

Diana Murdock has written a poignant tale of love the way it is meant to be.
Readers will love AGAIN and this story will stay with you lon...more

When I first read the description of this book, I was under the impression that it was going to be a fantasy/romance along the lines of Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series which I loved. However, the fantasy aspect wasn't really as strong as I had hoped. I had a really difficult time relating to and empathizing with the characters because they were not fleshed out very well and seemed somewhat flat. Because of this, I really didn't care what happened to Catherine or Eryn.

"Again" is a valiant eff...more

I won a copy of Again from LibraryThing’s Early Reviewer group. I feel lucky to have won this b/c it was a great quick and easy read. This is a romance set in two periods of time and the story goes back and forth between the historical portion of the story and the modern story. The author developed the main character very well in both the historical story and the modern story. She (in both settings) is likeable and complex. There is a reincarnation theme running through this story – will the cou...more

The story is written from a perspective of two characters: Eryn Rexford, a 21st century photographer, and Lady Catherine, a 16th century noble woman. Both of the characters, and the secondary characters, are well developed, with believable flaws.

Going between the time periods was an interesting technique and the author did it dexterously, without confusing the reader. Both relationships (and time settings) are easy to follow and understand. They are basically a mirror image of each other, with...more

I read this book awhile ago, but I keep thinking of how it drew me in. Every night I couldn't wait to pick up my kindle and keep reading. I really loved the alternating 'times' and the parallels that Ms. Murdock drew between the characters.
I fell in love with the characters and cried with them and cheered for them.
I absolutely recommend this book and I can't wait for a new offering from this author!

I absolutely loved this book! I won this book on First-Reads, and it changed the way I look at life on a whole new level.

This is a book about love, life, passion, reincarnation, and past-lives. And It will have you lost in time to a world of your own. The romance is a womens dream and will have you either cuddled up with your spouse or looking for Jonathan. I would definitely be reading this book again and again. Diana's beautiful and captivating words will leave you wanting more of what she ha...more

'Again' is the story of a love that transverses a lifetime - and beyond. Told from the dual perspectives of the historical Lady Catherine and the modern-day Eryn, both of whom are unhappy with the partners that
society has chosen for them, 'Again' reminds the reader that when it comes to love, nothing is more important than following your heart.
Marty Chester
This book tells two stories at once, in a nice twist on reincarnation. Without being heavy handed, the author unravels the details and lets the reader put the characters in their respective places. One ending is tragic, the other a 'happy for now' with a hopeful voice.

This story captured me quickly, and was an engaging read. The back and forth between two times and two lives could have been confusing, but it wasn't. I loved the characters, and am looking forward to reading other books by this author.

I am always a sucker for a love across time story. This one was entertaining but the characters were not as engaging as some of my favorites from other similarly themed novels.

A good light read. Where past, present and future comes together in a surprising way. Again, is about a love that endures through the centuries.

Great read. I loved the way the author wove two stories together spanning a number of centuries. The characters were stong and well-defined and the story was delightfully unique. This is a love story that paints a picture of jealousy and betrayal with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. A must read for romance readers.
