This is a fabulous look at Scottish history, even if it's fiction. I loved reading it when I was a kid, and I've recently reread it, and still enjoyed it. Twin Brothers, vikings by birth, end up in 10th century Scotland, and use their wits to survive and to find their mother, and their Father's murderer.
