This little book was a very pleasant surprise for me. I got it for free on my ipod from feedbooks yesterday evening.
It's a very quick read and has many adult themes in it such as (minor) S/M rituals and male/male romance. The most striking thing for me, was the universe that the author created. A bleak, undefined, post-war future where cloning is accepted( and cheap) and cloned boys are kept as pets/slaves. The author's website states that one of the genres she writes in is "literary / lyrical trance." One would be hard pressed to think of a better description for Vixen's style of writing, which features beautiful prose that isn't superfluous or pretentious.
